Oh dear Creme, Can you get to a walk in centre tomorrow?. You can take ibuprofen and paracetamol together if you need to.

Creme tooth ache is grim, co codomol would be better than paracetamol on its own.

Do you all stick to the recommended time when keeping foods in the fridge? I chucked some pesto today as it says on the jar once opened chuck after 7 days. It was 2 weeks old but looked fine....

SpottyTeacakes · 15/08/2015 20:30

No girlie I don't, I just smell it Grin

CremeEggThief · 15/08/2015 20:38

Gosh, do you all really think I should try to get help tomorrow rather than wait until Monday?Confused It could possibly be an abscess in my already dodgy wisdom tooth... It was my first time at this dentist, following our recent house move, and I think she scaled my teeth too much, especially as she used local anaesthetic. I have very sensitive gums anyway (gingivitis), so she probably didn't realise they can't hack a very deep clean. Whatever it is, I've never had toothache like this before. I feel as bad as if I have tonsillitis, although at least the dizziness and feeling cold have passed,

CremeEggThief · 15/08/2015 20:40

Girlie, some pesto jars say use within 4 weeks, so that's what I use as my gauge for all... not that pesto lasts long here. DS adores it!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/08/2015 20:41

I wouldn't want to wait. Toothache is horrible. Try emergency dentist at the hospital 111 should be able to advise if Google can't help.

CremeEggThief · 15/08/2015 20:56

This is going to sound stupid, but I feel guilty about it! I have never sought help out of hours in my life. All that said, I have been in pain for 4 days now, so I think I will tomorrow.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/08/2015 21:04

That's what they're there for Creme!

AdoraBell · 15/08/2015 21:23

£11.25 on a dog brush.

Happy anniversary missa! creme that pain sounds horrific. I think you can get co-codomol over counter as DH had to get it once for a dead nerve in his tooth which also happened at the weekend. ohhelp the bean burgers are dead easy and the mixture is really easy to mould into shape.

NSD!!! So amazed as we've had a great day out, gorgeous lunch and even home for a glass of wine that was lurking in the fridge! We've driven about 100 miles all in so not good for petrol consumption but the day has felt extravagant.

Creme egg. Try warm saltwater mouthwashes every few hours ( a teaspoon of salt to a pint of water. Swish round your mouth and spit out but do not rinse. If it is an abcess the saltwater will help to kill infection. When you feel a wave of pain try the breathing exercises you learnt in pregnancy. It does help . Toothache is awful x

sandgrown · 15/08/2015 23:35

Thanks Its all. It is frustrating isn't it when there is so much you want to do but no money. I am hoping if I can clear cards and organise things more I will have money to save for the big jobs.

Our dishwasher is being delivered today. We have taken out the cupboard so have a space but need plumbing and a socket Sad

You can buy co-codamol OTC but only 8/500mg prescription strength is 30/500mg and knocks me out Grin

Dh is a builder so we are lucky on that front. His boss is coming over somewhen hopefully this year to help us.

We have lots of sorting out to do today too as we've emptied two cupboards and drawers for the dw their contents are currently on the table Hmm

Pointlessfan · 16/08/2015 07:03

Just lost a really long post - stupid phone!
Gist of it was that I hope creme is ok and some ideas for using up pesto!
Off to the beach today, will probably pay for parking and ice creams or something. It looks like a nice day so enjoy it everyone!

babsmam · 16/08/2015 07:42

Child free today and a bit overwhelmed at so much yo do I'm in danger of doing nothing.
Defo going to Aldi et Al do lots of food shopping. Need to go to sports shops and try trainer brands for sizing so can buy on line. Plan the kids parties invites etc, go to the allotment and pick then freeze.

Gah

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/08/2015 08:32

Spotty Your new dw was one of the first things I thought about this morning. If you can get used to not having the water heating on all day you should have a nice little credit with the electric board come christmas.

Ohhelp You need led bulbs because they are so cheap to run and lights get used lots more than you think and more likely to get left on overnight than anything else really.

When we bought this house the builders had put 12w energy savers in every room and 10 halogens in the kitchen. I changed the kitchen ones before we moved in and I have gradually been changing the others so most outlets are now between 3w and 6w.

The electric bill has gone down alot since we moved here.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/08/2015 08:35

Grin Fluffy

Our water heats at off peak times and between 2&4 pm. Should I switch it off over night or in the day? We would only use it for the dc's bath and hand washing.
