574 I check up on MSE on the photo print page. Bonusprint do a voucher through MSE, pay £19 for the voucher and you have a certain amount of time to complete the book in but it's a 100 page book. It's beautiful. I did one for DDs first year and it is stunning. Worth £80ish if you didn't have voucher for same quality and size book.

Hi ya all. Thanks for the new thread.

Reading but not posting much at the moment. All is fine just too much to think about. Dc have birthday first week in October so trying to sort parties. Lots on at work and with family stuff. Still trying to be frugal just may not say much.

£4 on fitness class. V lardy and unfit after holidays

girliefriend · 12/08/2015 20:20

Lovetoknit · 12/08/2015 20:59

Collie could you rent out your house?
Go for it. Fingers crossed.

Pointlessfan · 12/08/2015 21:16

Good luck Collie!
The weather for the next couple of days looks terrible, so much harder to provide free entertainment for DD when it's wet. There is a limit to how many circuits of the park she can do in wellies! Having said that, this afternoon I filled her water tray/box from loft and put some washing liquid lids and things in it and she proceeded to chuck water over herself until she was drenched so maybe I should just stick her out in the rain Grin

sweetkitty · 12/08/2015 22:10

£9 swimming with DCs
£12 in Aldi for cake making ingredients for a charity thing tomorrow.

CremeEggThief · 12/08/2015 22:12

babsmam · 13/08/2015 06:32

Got to get some fruit today shouldn't be too much.

Have joined the Christmas thread, not sure if it's a good idea this early

SpottyTeacakes · 13/08/2015 06:36

We're out of cereal for the dc and I forgot Parmesan for the risotto. Need to drive to hospital (20 miles) to pick up dd's new insoles then come back home and five miles in the other direction to the shoe shop and hope that some shoes will fit with these new ones Confused wish me luck!

574ejones · 13/08/2015 06:47

Binglet- thanks so much for the link, I will check it out over the weekend.

Oh help - thanks for the heads up on the tyres, I would never have thought to do that. Will have a look around at what they should cost before I go.

Collie - Cardiff is a lovely place, well done your DH for the interview!

needastrongone · 13/08/2015 06:50

needastrongone · 13/08/2015 07:52

Morning. Gosh, you all move fast and I post regularly!

Nice to see you back MissA, I was wondering where you went.

ipsos You comment about trying to find a number for the internet provider when your internet is down really rang true with me and brings back bitter memories last year of a long drawn out process with BT.

Been a spendy couple of days, some planned.

£85 in the uniform shop on a tie for DS, going into year 11. £7.99 for a tie for one year!!! Then the balance on 2 jumpers and 2 pairs of trousers for DD. Captive market, the uniform is only available on the school site.

I haven't taken out my cash withdrawal yet, as I had £25 in my purse.

Today I need to get the horse box serviced and take the DC into town for holiday clothes (Primark, in the main)

I have also booked next years holiday, which is mega organised but will force me to put the money away.

Need also to make some food for myself and DD, as we are away at the weekend.

oliveobsessed · 13/08/2015 08:05

Morning having a good week so far. Bought a second hand sling last night however need something easy for the school run in september. Also collecting a highchair today which converts into a toddler chair and table but only £10 rather than £100 new and it is for parents house. Went out for a yummy indian on tuesday which was mainly vouchers and the ocado order was on budget at £40.22 slight frugal fail last night when dp wanted a drink

Hmm, going to have to do the so-called weekly shop after just 5 days this week! Planning fail. DSD is staying for a few nights so 3 adults Fri-Mon rather than 2! I've not yet found the balance of using the bulk cooked/frozen stuff I made and I need to be more organised about defrosting things in the morning. Still got loads left, especially as much of it is to be served with pasta (got bolognese, tomato sauce, cheese sauce and pesto) so feel the need to space that out! DCs are a bit fussy though, especially DS who is nearly 6. I find it really hard to think of new things that they'll actually eat.

Nowhere near the overdraft this month, was really pleased (especially as I've bought all DS' birthday presents in the last couple of weeks) until I realised it's mostly because I've not been at work and have been too ill to actually, y'know, DO anything Hmm.
