Lovely things that make you happy and cost a fiver or less

Bought an enormous bunch of daffs in M&S yesterday for £3 and am smiling every time I see them.

Twinings Earl grey costs less than a fiver for a big box.

A cup of coffee and a muffin in Starbucks.

3 books for a pound in our local charity shop.

What else? Inspire me please! :)

Remus - Definitely. We just swap sandwiches and cold drinks on the grass for hot sausage rolls and hot chocolate snuggled up on a park bench.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/03/2013 16:43

Just looked and a little bottle is around £6 but the shower gel is only a couple of pounds.

Aww Ella - that sounds lovely! How do you keep your sausage rolls hot?

Have thought of a couple more -

  • a perfectly ripe mango
  • a coffee in Pret (only 99p) and a magazine
  • an hour scrapbooking pictures from magazines
  • re-reading a childhood favourite in the bath
  • a dance around the kitchen to This Charming Man

A nice coffee and my book on my own.

PistachioTruffle · 31/03/2013 17:06

Coffee and cake - normally a skinny vanilla latte with a slice of whatever takes my fancy
A frothy film downloaded from iTunes
A lush bubble bar - amandopondo is my favourite
A thick, glossy magazine - preferably with freebie
Little somethings from Accessorize or the like - pair of earrings, nail polish
Ebay bargains

Yes to second hand books too - I love diving into local charity shops and getting a handful of paperbacks for a fiver

Iheartcows · 31/03/2013 17:06

Big bar of dairy milk with crunchie or big bag of giant buttons or big bag of twirl bites with a big glass of milk.

My £1 bunch of daffs from Tesco

Chicken, chorizo and chipotle mayo sandwich with sweet chilli walkers crisps and can of coke meal deal from Tesco £3. Add a trashy mag or 2 and I'm a happy bunny on a Friday afternoon.

Honey and chocolate smelly glade candle.

The lovely silver ballet pumps I got in the Tesco sale for £3

(I shop at Tesco way too much)

Some amazon MP2 albums are less than a fiver

diamondee · 31/03/2013 17:25

A bacon roll, mug of strong white coffee and a magazine in a cafe when I'm meant to be at college. I don't do it often but the time out is bliss

OhWouldYouJust · 31/03/2013 17:34

Olive oil and brown sugar. Mix together and you have a lovely cheap body scrub and beautifully soft skin.

McDonalds caramel sundae.

Aldi dark chocolate with hazelnuts.

Coconut oil for my hair.

Lavender oil, little goes a long way and its a life saver on inflamed skin or in my case body piercings Wink
