Bought an enormous bunch of daffs in M&S yesterday for £3 and am smiling every time I see them.

Twinings Earl grey costs less than a fiver for a big box.

A cup of coffee and a muffin in Starbucks.

3 books for a pound in our local charity shop.

£1.50 for three bags of bird seed from local NT property. DC and I feed the white doves by hand, standing at the lakeside as the sun goes down. Nothing happier than having a white dove fly down onto your arm and feed from your hand.

65p for bread mix that scents the whole house when you bake.

Sale price kids' clothes in H&M in brilliant colours. Gave the DC money to buy new outfits for spring yesterday. All the brilliant coloured skinny jeans and polo shirts were under a fiver. They've been charging round the garden with their cousins today and they look so colourful. Great change after years of boys' clothes being grey or beige.

Packets of seeds to plant, from 50p for poppies up to broad beans and runners.

Great big hardback A4 spiral bound notebooks covered in jewel- coloured embroidered Chinese silk at Tiger for about £2-3.

Poundstore giant canvases, fluffy bedsocks and artists' brushes.

And yes to big bunches of daffodils.

Coffee and a book (usually procured from a charity shop) of a Saturday. It's my me time, if the toddler cooperates and does sleeping:o

Well I spent just under £5.oo in a red cross shop yesterday and got, - a pair of burnt orange jeans, a piece of tartan fabric I'm going to make a purse with, a piece of yellowy brown velvet upholstery fabric I'm going to make a cushion cover with, a book called 'colour on paper and fabric', and a pair of knitting needles.

Also for under five pounds (although this was different £5 fromt he charity shop one ) DH and I had a coffee and huge slice of home made cake each in a cafe.

Another under a fiver pleasure - my friend and I go to a place called 'scraps' which is run by a guy who sells on bits of fabric, wood, papers, wool. weird bits and bobs etc. - very cheaply, and if you are arty/crafty it is heaven. She rang me this morning and said 'are you up for 'scraps' on Wednesday?'.

I am so happy

Oh and I'd add a long natter on the phone with a friend on a Sunday morning while sitting in bed with the electric blanket on drinking tea, as a cheap yet priceless pleasure

Saturday's Guardian and reading it lying on the floor and drinking coffee. Bliss.

Sacks of onions for 2.99. I chop, grate and slice them all in one go. Label and bag them. Then I have 3 months of instant peeled onion smuggeryness.

French onion soup knocked up with aforementioned onions and a beef stock pot, lidl bread mix made into fresh cheesy rolls. Costs about £1.30 to feed four.

Pore strips from Poundworld. Good for your skin and a good form of entertainment as you scrutinise what's stuck on it after use.

Reading poetry.
Writing a poem, I mean really writing with a pen and on paper.
Buying a bunch of beautiful pink roses from a market and walking home.

Painting your nails, putting on your makeup ...and sexy underwear and jumping your dh when he comes home [bugrin]

It's around a fiver for fish and chips here but it is in the grim north :)

I'm really looking forward to my £12 spa day with dh. We did one at feb half term. We dropped off sprog at nursery, wallowed in a spa for hours and then had lunch in a lovely pub overlooking some moors. We don't get a break very often so it was such a treat to make the most of it. [bugrin]
