Side effects of the latest Covid jab

What, if any, side effects are people experiencing?

I had the jab at 4pm on Saturday. By 8pm I could not keep my eyes open (I normally don't go to bed until 11pm at the earliest and hardly ever fall asleep watching tv).

Even going to bed at 8.30pm and sleeping fairly well I didn't wake yesterday until 8am and still felt so tired. My arms and legs were aching and I felt sick. I actually slept most of the day and only had a piece of toast to eat which I brought back up.

Today I haven't stayed in bed but am still really tired but the most annoying thing is that everything tastes strange. I am a big tea drinker but at present it tastes vile. DH cooked egg and chips for tea which is one of my favourite meals and it was just horrible and tasted weird.

Just hoping this isn't going to last long

Sore arms (had flu at same time). Felt a bit coldy but turns out I have a cold so can't blame the vaccine

Picoloangel · 11/10/2022 08:33

Had both at same time at lunchtime on Saturday. Sore arms and then on Sunday felt v cold and a bit achey and tired for most of the day but was fine by the evening. X

Sore arm, felt sick overnight
Had flu jab at the same time

FangsForTheMemory · 16/10/2022 05:00

Had it yesterday, with flu jab. Temperature and sore arm.

Magissa · 16/10/2022 05:27

I had the Moderna spikevax on Friday at 1.30. Incredibly sore arm and aches in my body. Dizzy. So tired all weekend. I am awake now and still feel achy in my upper body. This is the worse reaction I have had. I am having flu jab tomorrow- hope that isn't as bad.

This last booster was the only one o had side effects with and it was awful , felt like I'd been hit by a train , aches , painful dead arm , pain at injection site and lymph node under arm , felt sick , didn't sleep that night . So much so that I'm not sure I'll have another if offered .

itsgettingweird · 16/10/2022 06:51

I had mine 2 weeks ago.

Slightly sore arm from flu jab and slightly tender underarm from covid.
Was tired but slept well.

Ds had his yesterday. Very sore arm from flu and very tired last night. Will see how he is when he wakes up!

KiwiFruit10 · 16/10/2022 06:55

Had Moderna a couple of weeks ago.
Slightly sore arm, no other reaction.

Previous 3 jabs were Pfizer.
No reaction to them either.

starfishmummy · 16/10/2022 07:01

I had flu and covid jabs together. Slightly sore covid arm, flu arm was worse.

Ethelswith · 16/10/2022 07:05

I didn't have any for this one, bar the sore arm I get with just about every jab for anything.

I was utterly zonked with my first two covid jabs though. Nothing since those

ClaudineClare · 16/10/2022 07:20

I had the Comirnaty vaccine on Friday. Had a sore arm, sore throat and aching joints yesterday. Fine today, though arm still quite sore.

Which booster did you have? Some seem to be affecting people more than others.

kissmelittleass · 16/10/2022 07:28

Had booster and flu vaccine last Wednesday week a few hours after both arms were sore and my armpit was sore for five days on the booster arm.. happened with the booster last year too funny that it never happened with the first two covid vaccines ( Pfizer)

RainbowZebraWarrior · 16/10/2022 07:29

Had Pfizer booster yesterday morning. Felt ok apart from tired so had early night. Have woken up ok this morning with just a slightly sore arm. Must admit, I'd been contemplating walking away if the clinic only had Moderna. I had horrible reactions to first two which were AZ. My 3rd was Pfizer and I was ok with that so happy to get it again.

urbanbuddha · 16/10/2022 07:34

Just a slightly sore arm in the evening (Moderna).
I didn't have the flu jab at the same time and will have it later this month.
I wonder if the aftereffects are worse if you have both at the same time.

hattie43 · 16/10/2022 07:48

@ClaudineClare

Comirnaty is the one I had .

LesLavandes · 16/10/2022 07:52

MyDogStoodOnABee · 16/10/2022 07:53

Fatigue, very sore hard nipples, allergic reaction face rash

ClaudineClare · 16/10/2022 07:56

@ClaudineClare

Comirnaty is the one I had .

Same as me. I definitely had more side effects than with the other boosters. Not bad enough to put me off futures ones though!

dreamcatchmee · 16/10/2022 07:58

Just a sore arm for me. Hope you feel better soon

Spanielsarepainless · 16/10/2022 08:12

I had Pfizer/Cominarty. Sore place where I was jabbed and sleeping appallingly since I had it on Thursday. 'Flu jab tomorrow.

hattie43 · 16/10/2022 08:13

@ClaudineClare

The side effects lasted about 48hrs but I just wasn't expecting to feel so unwell especially as I'd had no effects with previous jabs . I've also never had covid so I'm thinking is the jab worse than getting covid , I've nothing to compare it to.

LadyC43 · 16/10/2022 08:18

Had 5th Covid jab on friday.expected bad side effects after hearing of others.flu at same time.nothing except slight hheadache later.
this was Moderna.others all Pfizer

elephantseal · 16/10/2022 08:27

Had Moderna last weekend. Had a sore arm for two days and slight brain fog the day after.

JudithHarper · 16/10/2022 08:30

Plenty at my trust this week after the injections, looking like death warmed up and moaning about painful arms.

No sympathy for them at all.
