Did you catch covid from your kids?

Dd1 tested positive 8 days ago, dd2 positive 4 days later. OH and I zero symptoms, constant negative lft, we are both triple jabbed. I had resigned myself to definitely catching it.....But now, dare I hope we'll dodge it??

Nope, I caught it at work in a school - off someone else’s dc. I got my positive pcr results this morning.
My own dc have had it and we managed not to get it from them, despite looking after them sharing a bed, cuddling up with them etc when they were ill.

No, ds had it a couple of weeks ago and nobody else caught it.

Nope. DD11 had it and none of us caught it from her. DS and I did have a stinking cold but daily LFT’s and a PCR each said negative.

Anecdotally, we have found that if adults bring it in the house then the kids catch it, but it far more hit and miss the other way. I know of at least 7 families in the last few weeks where the adults have not caught it.

My waiting is over, tested positive this morning. DS was positive last Saturday, DH on Monday

Yes this is the first time it caught us. My Ds is feeling rough and has to be within 30cm of me at all times. Now I have it too, fingers crossed hubby and ds1 don't catch it.

Fingers crossed you both dodge it. My DD caught it the beginning of December and the whole household caught it. Within days we all tested positive. I was doubled jabbed at the time and OH tripple jabbed. I do know of quite a few people who didn't catch it when others in their household had it.

Yes, DS felt unwell and came up positive on LFT, we tested negative that day and the next 3. In the meantime DH and I sent off our PCRs (as we started with symptoms 3 days after DS), and these came back positive.

DD was a waiting game until a week after us. They are teenagers so in their rooms a lot but we have one bathroom and we were downstairs which is almost open plan.

Yes, DCs 2 and 3 tested positive the same day and I followed 2 days later.
