Anyone actually have omricon covid mild?

So many friends and family ill with it now. To my shock all have had 3-4 days of fever and sever aches and pain. Only know 3 people who have had it very mild (no high fever or aches etc)
My DH had it very mild (mild sore throat) but he is triple jabbed. My other colleagues and friends had quite a rough time with it and none are triple jabbed just double.
Would be interesting to hear of other omricon experiences

I think 3-4 days of fever with aches and pains is still classed as mild covid, even though it might not feel that way. The point is, people are not becoming seriously ill with it. They might still feel pretty shit though!

TheLazyBeagle · 20/01/2022 19:30

Yeah, my whole family have just had it and we all had it mildly. I had a day of body aches/fatigue then just a cough. DH had a runny nose. DD1 was the most ill, with what I’d call a ‘bad cold’. DS1 and DS2 had a mild cough.

WaystarRoycoCEO · 20/01/2022 19:32

Tested positive last week, haven’t had a single symptom. I am triple jabbed.

Both my dc have also just had it, eldest (10) had 2 days of feeling ill with headaches, youngest (7) felt a bit under the weather one eve and that was it.

dementedpixie · 20/01/2022 19:32

Dh triple jabbed - scratchy throat, runny nose and mild headache.

The rest of us didn't catch it

CovidCorvid · 20/01/2022 19:32

I was triple jabbed and had it last week. Mild. I’ve had worse colds.

Blubells · 20/01/2022 19:34

3-4 days of feeling ill at home IS mild, isn't it?Confused

Yes I know that, but I’m just interested in seeing if others not triple jabbed had it as mild as a common mild cold without high fevers, aches, severe coughs etc. It was described as a mild cold more than “flu like” when omricon had newly emerged.

I did! I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had it mildly including my 75yo parents in law. They had a cough & fatigue for a week but the more than forty other people I know who had/have it ranged between completely asymptomatic (+ve LFT) only to less than a week of head cold/sore throat. I had a sore throat & sneezed a lot for 5 days then was gone. Don’t know any adults who’ve had a fever with it & the only one with a cough was my MIL.

AllisoninWunderland · 20/01/2022 19:36

I had it recently.
Single vaccination only. Age 47.
Very mild. One day of fever and a bit of a headache.
2/3 days of juts a sore throat & very slight cough.

oldtableleg · 20/01/2022 19:37

Definitely nothing like my experience with flu which hospitalised me when I was 22!

Fountainsoftea · 20/01/2022 19:45

Me. Triple jabbed. Had 2 shit days and a week of being bunged up. You can jab me for anything, any time, if they work this well.

JustLikeJasper · 20/01/2022 19:45

I had a bit of a snotty nose but that was it no sore throat no aches or fever but according to PCR i had it 🤷🏻‍♀️ DS had it too according to LFT and he had a slight cough but nothing else. DF had it and had the aches fever etc

Fountainsoftea · 20/01/2022 19:46

My first cv last year was much worse.

Narutocrazyfox · 20/01/2022 19:48

Extremely mild. A little bit of sneezing, runny nose - I wouldn't have even noticed if the people I was with hadn't tested positive and I did a test out of curiosity! Fully 'recovered' within 48 hours. I'm not vaccinated.

DrDreReturns · 20/01/2022 19:48

Me. Tested positive a week ago. Only symptom is feeling tired. I've had three vaccines.

Exhausteddog · 20/01/2022 19:50

I had it less than 2 weeks after my booster. It felt like a moderately bad cold for about 4 days (no fever or aches though)
I had sore throat, croaky voice, headache, runny nose, sneezing. It was fairly mild.

WorstXmasEver · 20/01/2022 19:55

I had flu at Xmas & it took me weeks to get better & I lost a stone in weight from having no appetite.

When I had covid (delta) I lost my sense of smell for about 3 days & that was it.

I enjoyed isolating for 10 days, it was like a holiday.

Muststopeating · 20/01/2022 19:57

I've got COVID. No idea which variant. Only two jabs as not eligible for booster til end Jan. If I hadn't been on my own with 3 small kids and been able to rest then it would have been exceptionally mild. As it was, a few days of mild to moderate body aches and head aches. Very minor cough. 2 kids totally asymptomatic, baby felt poorly for 2 days but kept smiling.

Groovee · 20/01/2022 19:57

My dh, Dd and ds had it over Christmas. None had symptoms and were fine. Dd did develop a cough and no appetite for a couple of days. DD's fiancé was a whinge with his cough and cold.

DirtyDancing · 20/01/2022 19:57

It's not mild. We just have a lot of people vaccinated now

Sunsetsupernova · 20/01/2022 19:58

Triple jabbed here and didn’t even realise I had it until I did a test. I genuinely would never have known.

Meandmini3 · 20/01/2022 19:58

Triple jabbed. Extremely mild.

MrsDThaskala · 20/01/2022 19:59

Same. A blocked nose for 4 days- hit of a headache . But that's it. Could have gone into the office as it was fine.

Double vaxd and boosted. Also my family didn't get it from me

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 20/01/2022 20:00

Yeah double jabbed. Had a headache, tiredness and sneezing

Seb342 · 20/01/2022 20:01

I've currently got it and have no symptoms at all, I got picked for a random lft in work. I haven't been vaccinated and to my knowledge I've never had covid before now. I've taken another lft today (day 4) and it's still positive so I'm hoping it's gone by the next time I test so I can go back to work.
