So many friends and family ill with it now. To my shock all have had 3-4 days of fever and sever aches and pain. Only know 3 people who have had it very mild (no high fever or aches etc)
My DH had it very mild (mild sore throat) but he is triple jabbed. My other colleagues and friends had quite a rough time with it and none are triple jabbed just double.
Would be interesting to hear of other omricon experiences

I tested positive on Monday. I had a sore throat, cough and tiredness. Feel absolutely fine now just still slightly fatigued. Triple jabbed.

Medically mild means no overnight stay in hospital. You can he very ill and it classed as mild.

Figgyboa · 21/01/2022 02:04

Double vaxxed. Tested positive, no symptoms.

Triple jabbed . I am a few days in and had a scratchy throat and chesty cough ( I have mild asthma) which is now going . Still have a loss of smell but taste is returning . I have had worse colds.

Me, my wife, and my 87 year old Dad have all had it - all just experienced a bit of a cough, mild headache and runny nose for a couple of days. Have had far worse.

Nidan2Sandan · 21/01/2022 07:00

What you have described isnt "flu like" what you have described is "cold like". I have had colds absolutely floor me for days on end.

User135644 · 21/01/2022 08:40

Day 1-2 - mild cold
Day 3-5 - heavy cold
Day 6-10 - a few lingering symptoms

Nomorecoco · 21/01/2022 12:02

Very mild, slight runny nose, hacking cough which didn't even keep me up at night like coughs do. Dp and DD had the exact name.

BogRollBOGOF · 21/01/2022 12:08

Scratchy throat, mildly snotty, sinus headache.
The aftermath of 2 of the 3 jabs made me feel more ill.

The worst bit was being banned from a good country walk to clear the sinuses.

How do you know it's omicron?

TheLazyBeagle · 21/01/2022 12:40

How do you know it's omicron?
Something like 98.7% of cases are omicron now.
MsMartini · 21/01/2022 14:03

The data published by UKHSA and others show that two-dose protection against symptoms with Omicron has taken a hit, becaue of its immune evasion. Boosters largely restore this, hence the big push to get people boosted in December.

So what you are seeing is exactly what you would expect, and is what all public health messaging about the importance of boosters says.

I think that is something we all need to start remembering also. Being unwell occasionally is just part of life. There will be times when a bug does put you in bed for a few days.
ohdear99 · 21/01/2022 14:29

I had no symptoms day one day two I had a headache and high temp. Day 3 symptoms free now day 10.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 21/01/2022 14:55

I have it and it's really like a cold with some stabbing pains, sneezing and tiredness. That said I had Delta in November and felt horrendous. Also triple jabbed.

brogueish · 21/01/2022 19:04

We have it at the moment. It’s great to hear so many have had it mildly, but I do worry that this could become a bit dismissive of those who are quite unwell with it. There’s absolutely no way I could have worked this week before today (triple jabbed) and my DH is not in a good way. The range of experiences is fascinating, there’s obviously still lots to learn about this virus. I really wish we’d just had runny noses, especially with a pre-schooler to look after too.
