Hi

I tested positive on 23rd December... I was poorly for about a week. Felt like a very bad cold/ flu was mainly a very sore throat, exhaustion and just feeling poorly...

I went back to work on the 30th ( wfh in a public sector role) and felt ok..

But last week I felt increasingly unwelll... I am so so exhausted all the time, I also have problems with smelling and a bad stomach...brain fog also.....

Anyone else? And any tips to hekpe recover?

Hi everyone , hope everyone is feeling a little better then when I last jumped on?

Is anyone having issues with there hands?

So while I had covid I got a tremor in my hands but now my hands keep going numb feel like there slow to respond to what I am doing I almost have a sensations like there swelling and feels really weak! Driving me nuts! Even holding my phone now my hand is shaking like it's Ona trapped nerve

I also still have a tight chest and shortness of breath 🙁

Feel like there is no end to this

homeappliances · 02/02/2022 09:07

Sorry to hear that. Im day 15 and still off work. I've just finished steroids and on my last day of antibiotics- shortness of breath, tight chest and palpitations have returned. Needing my inhaler a lot. I feel utterly exhausted from this.

It's my legs that are weak and jelly like. When I walk they don't feel like my own and it feels like I'm going in slow motion. When I had fever/chills/aches in the beginning, it seemed to be mostly in my legs and hips, so Im wondering if this is why they feel weak.

I'm at Day 29 now and as I've mentioned on another thread really struggling with horrible headaches. My eye sight is also significantly worse than it was before covid so not sure if the two things.
Going to make an appointment for an eye test but can't get one till next weekend.

Anyone else affected in same way ?

MummaL32 · 02/02/2022 14:59

I had weak legs while positive
And can fully relate to being exhausted

By 2pm daily I am knackered and need to go to bed

Also still have tight chest and palpitations have you seen a doc?

homeappliances · 02/02/2022 16:48

Dahliaa - I seem to get a headache about 2pm that won't go. Although, today it started at 10am and seemed to sit behind my eyes.

MummaL23 - the palpitations and breathlessness has eased as the day has gone on but will go back to GP if it starts again.

Sorry to hear others are struggling too.

Not great here, positive 13-21st Jan, probably Omicron as my whole house had it within days of each other other but don't know for certain.

I'm still off work, it's triggered my once very well controlled asthma and I'm struggling despite doubling my steroid inhalers. I'm now on my second course of oral steroids and have had a course of antibiotics.

I'm worried about how I'm going to get back to work when I can't walk between rooms in the house without getting out of breath.

There's no consistency either, in the mornings I have a lot of chest pain, tightness and breathlessness but could then be fine for hours and hours. Other days, like today, I'm in a lot of pain and have a constant tight chest, am light headed and feel totally wiped out.

I'm a nurse, I don't know when I'm going to get back to work or how I'm going to be able to wear a surgical mask for 11 hours nevermind an FFP3 when required. It's absolute bollocks Sad

@homeappliances that's exactly the same with me ... including the timings.
Have you noticed your eyesight affected at all.

AuntHilda · 02/02/2022 21:49

Day 15 here. I was quite poorly, felt like flu, followed by a head cold with the three main symptoms plus fatigue and brain fog but by day 10 was better and returned to work on Monday. Today the headache has returned, I have gastro symptoms (which I did not have before) and I'm so tired, I had to ring in sick again Confused.

homeappliances · 02/02/2022 22:03

@dahliaa - there's been a few times where I've felt like I've had trouble focussing. I get more of a brain fog, struggle with concentration and getting my my words out.
