Sir Kier Starmer In Isolation Again.

6th period of Covid isolation for Sir Kier Starner.I wonder if he has just been incredibly unlucky, or been rather reckless? He's had Covid twice and isolated following contact with infected individuals 4 times.

Does anyone else find it odd?

The only odd thing about it is the notion that Starmer is “reckless”.

I don't think it suggests he has been reckless at all, quite the opposite!
He lives in London, he has kids at school, his wife works outside the home, and he must come into contact with lots of people as part of his job. Having to isolate 4 times as a contact is not surprising.
Catching Covid twice is perhaps unlucky, but probably not that unusual now.

I can find plenty of things to criticise Starmer for, but this isn't one of them.
If anything it suggests he is being more careful and responsible than certain other politicians... It suggests that he and his household are testing regularly, and he is isolating properly when identified as a contact (not trying to weasel out of it with dodgy excuses and convenient "pilot schemes").

I don’t know Kier or Keir or whatever his name is. His wife will be wearing PPE at work. But it’s not hard to see why Covid is rife in Westminster and why he is so exposed.

They’ve ALL been meeting up during Covid. Tories. Labour. Hardly doing any social distancing and having parties.

They’re all sitting on top of each other in parliament, while we’re not allowed to go into the office.

No wonder there’s so much Covid going around!

Ah thank you, seems v unlucky - he’s missed a lot of PMQ (feels like it anyway). Angela R filled in today and there was some banter about wanting his job.

He has had Covid twice in a little over three months despite being boosted. But omicron is still rife in London and delta doesn't give you full immunity from omicron.

If he's had covid twice and I think iirc one of the isolations was (before rules changed) one of his children so that leaves 3 other times.doesnt seem excessive

I think it is three times as a close contact including of at least one of his children, plus once when someone in his household was awaiting a result and twice with Covid himself. Bad luck but not too surprising.

He has kids, a wife who works in the NHS and a job that involves contact with loads of people. He also follows the rules unlike that useless twat of a PM

There is a big difference between the two party leaders records:

Starmer 4 isolations and 2 positives himself
Johnson 1 positive himself (from memory)

Both have families although different age kids (I wonder if Johnson's adult children see him much) and jobs which involve meeting a lot of people.

Either Starmer is unlucky or Johnson keeps quiet when he has to isolate. Or doesn't bother.

His wife works for NHS and he has 2 kids so before guidance changed there would been lots of stay at homes just in case isolations. To be honest with HoC wonder more people aren’t off more. Boris must met hundreds of people a week.
Do we know what job she does in The NHS? He has mentioned it several times but never been clear what she does....She used to work in law but appears to be no longer registered to do so.
