PCR turn around where you live?

In contact on Friday to 2 people who have tested positive yesterday on LFT. I booked a PCR to be careful yesterday at 2.30pm. Spending Christmas with elderly relatives.

How long from PCR to getting the results was it for you?

So far lft negative where yet other 2 had big fat positives.

Thanks neverending we got a negative result about 48 hours after I posted it off. I was surprised it was negative to be honest too.

Oh good! I hope ours is that quick. I'm expecting positives all round but that's okay. As long as we can test negative on day 6 and 7 we can still see family before the kids go back to school and DH goes back to work.

53 hours for results here, North London. 1 positive and 2 negative, same as LFTs.

Lightening fast in the north west today, test at 11am and had result by 6:30pm. Wasn't expecting that! (Positive though)

29 hours in Edinburgh.

I finally got a negative result after 80 hours

Our postal results came through 37 hours after posting.

38 hours for me NW (negative). Not fast enough to see family visiting for the day though

DS tested Dec 23rd, came back positive this morning.

Tested on 24th at walk in, North west. Result this morning.

11 hours today. PCR done at 9am, result at 8pm.

12.30pm test today - positive results back by 3pm. Hardly had time to put the kettle on.!

That was a walk-in - NW.

I went to drive in test centre at 0900 this morning. Got a text with result at 1700. Astonishing!

Completed my weekly test for work on 24th, sent by post. Still not back. Started with symptoms Boxing Day but tested negative. Felt rubbish again today and found out 3 people I’ve been in contact with recently also tested positive. 2 lateral flows completed. Both positive. Booked in for another pcr in drive through tomorrow: completely fed up as if it’s positive then it will be the second time I’ve caught it.

SW, 30 hours and counting (walk-through). I'm not doing very well waiting! The test centre said the majority of afternoon tests are back by end of the next day.

Drive in test centre with pre booked appointment. Took 24 hours. Friend got hers back the same day, 6 hours. We are in the NW.
