PCR turnaround times?

Does anyone know how long PCR tests are coming back at the moment?

Got mine as well -60 hours approx!

Are those of you guys waiting for 2-3 days mostly negative? My DH has a theory that the negatives are being delayed in order to reduce people out and about (a sort of sly lockdown as such). Waiting for mine and DS results but a colleague of his tested same day (drive through rather than post which was what ours were) and he got his positive result less than 16 hours later.

A quote from Professor McNally (University of Birmingham) in today's news

“I know labs are short of staff and taking five days to turn around tests so they are clearly struggling.” The average number of PCR tests, according to a seven-day rolling average, is the highest it has ever been at 572,000 and is up 14.5 per cent in a week.

May explain a lot if the delays.
