Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 20/12/2021 22:02

PrancerandDancer · 20/12/2021 22:27

I'm in Essex. Went to walk in with my daughter Thurs afternoon, took 25 hours. Went same place but was much busier yesterday afternoon and I'm still waiting.

Just found my husband result in emails after 17 hours - positive Sad
That's Christmas plans ruined

Pushkinia · 21/12/2021 06:20

I did a postal test on Sunday, which was picked up at 3pm. The result came back at 3pm on Monday, so exactly 24 hours.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 21/12/2021 07:43

VaguelyInteresting · 21/12/2021 07:51

R1234567 · 21/12/2021 12:12

OP posts:
HelpINeeedSomebody · 21/12/2021 12:27

OhYouBadBadKitten · 21/12/2021 13:14

Look at my face --> Angry

LoopyLouLawson · 21/12/2021 13:47

Rang 119 again this morning, spent 1hr 20 mins, got through quite quickly initially but then the man on the phone had to ring through to the results team, which was what meant I was on the line for such a long time as the results team are apparently so overwhelmed.

They have raised a missing result investigation (?) and said now if I don't hear back in 24 hours to retest!

Bluntness100 · 21/12/2021 13:51

My daughter was done on sat afternoon at a drive in, still waiting. In the south east. So about 70 hours so far. Government website now says you can’t call 119 till it’s been six days. I shit you not.

I am failing to see the point now.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 21/12/2021 15:46

I'm getting very very pissed off.

6 days?!
UpsideDown1983 · 21/12/2021 16:43

We're at 27 hours and counting. So frustrating.

Bluntness100 · 21/12/2021 16:53

Yup. That’s what the government website says now, don’t chase unless it’s been six days.

She’s still not got the result. Even if they lost it, there will be no point after the six days in going and doing it again, becayse the seventh day is Christmas Day. Plus she’s no symptoms and only went as she was close to someone for about twenty mins who tested positive. All her lateral flows are negative. It just seems bloody pointless. Booking it driving there, the whole thing. It’s a joke

Shewalksinbeautylikethenight · 21/12/2021 17:18

Waiting on postal test from Friday. London.

Called to chase up and they said that I’d get a call from the chasers team in 1-2 days. The whole isolation period ends in 3 days as it took so long to receive the test in the first place

You can call and chase a test centre test results after 72 hours. Where is the link it says 6 days?
UpsideDown1983 · 21/12/2021 17:47

If you scroll down it now says 6 days: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/test-results/how-you-get-your-test-result/
