I've been moaning all day about it. Got it done yesterday about 3.30pm. Vaccine wasn't sore at all felt fine until late last night arm was starting to get a bit sore. During the night got very sore and all day it's been really sore. Tried to lift a glass out the high up cupboard and was all aghhh.

My legs are aching, as if I've been and done a tough workout for the first time in a year. Every time I have to go upstairs I'm going oh oh it's so sore.

Arm is starting to feel better so hopefully the muscle aches will too 🤞🏻

@SirVixofVixHall

Eeek. Mine is on Monday, I thought i would go for Pfizer as Moderna seems to hit people like a brick, but now not so sure !
Go for Pfizer. I had Moderna and felt like death for 48 hours after.
MsTSwift · 18/12/2021 21:32

Felt terrible after first unwell for a day after second absolutely fine after booster. Exercised and night out no dip in energy

WhenPushComesToShove · 18/12/2021 21:34

Felt crap for 5 days after Pfizer booster. Fever, aches, headache, huge fatigue, woozy head, tender scalp

PurpleDaisies · 18/12/2021 21:34

I felt a bit rubbish for a day and my arm hurt for a couple of days.

AngelinaFibres · 18/12/2021 21:36

Had AZ for first 2. Felt really poorly with flu after the first one but no side effects with the second. Had Moderna as booster. Very fluey for 2 days really bad nausea.

ChloeR81 · 18/12/2021 21:38

Had Moderna booster after Pfizer for first 2. Booster at 11:30 this morning and by 3pm was zonked on the sofa- sore arm, headache, fuzzy and very tired Sad Hoping will feel better tomorrow morning

Katie517 · 18/12/2021 21:40

Is anyone still feeling awful after 72 hours? I had moderna after 2 AZ on weds and have felt horrific since Thursday morning. Tempted to call the GP on Monday if still no better as this doesn’t feel normal. AZ gave me issues for about 3 months after the first dose but not typical side effects, this is more like a really bad dose of flu. I’m never ill either so it’s very frustrating.

foxgoosefinch · 18/12/2021 21:41

Moderna yesterday and by evening had v sore arm, headache, joint and back pain, all of which persisted through the night and most of today, despite painkillers. Starting to feel marginally better, but am still exhausted and have a headache and aches and pains.

My arm was less sore than after my first (Pfizer) dose, but sorer than after the second.

WhoKnowsProbsNotMe · 18/12/2021 21:42

Aw sorry you’re feeling rotten! I got my flu and booster at the same time (different arms) and it was my flu arm that was horrendous this year (I’ve been getting this for years and it has never hurt so much before)

Anyone who has their booster booked I would recommend 2 paracetamol and plenty water before you go!

Well done for trooping on, you’re not alone in the shitty after effect and we just need to hope/have faith the gain is worth the pain x

Tickly · 18/12/2021 21:45

Well worth getting a booster but took me a week to recover from the fatigue. I still don't feel right 2 weeks on so doing lots of tests because I keep assuming I have covid.

Yes took me 3-4 days had mine Monday and just starting to feel normal again
DumpedByText · 18/12/2021 21:50

I had Spikevax booster yesterday morning, I've had a headache and very sore arm. No energy, slept lots and haven't done a thing all day. I had Pfizer for 1st and 2nd and had no side effects.

KitBumbleB · 18/12/2021 21:51

I know its a bit taboo, but did anyone have any side effects with their periods after their jabs or booster ?

I'm 62 and had 2 heavy periods after my first 2 AZ jabs. Only had booster (Moderna) the other day, so we'll see how that goes.

After my first Pfizer injection my period was 17 days late and very, very heavy. I haven’t had a late period bar pregnancy in the 23 years I’ve been menstruating. Fine after my second injection. Too soon to tell after my booster.
BitterTits · 18/12/2021 21:54

I felt like shit and had to occupy classes all day. I was present in body.

willthatbeall · 18/12/2021 21:56

I have felt awful too. Never had anything like it before I literally crawled out of bed this morning to deal with the dog and kids. Still rough.

Has my body just had enough? 3 Covid vaccs and flu vacc?

I find it quite frightening tbh. I'm still dealing with chronic urticaria from the earlier jabs.

SwtPeasOnEarth · 18/12/2021 21:58

The nurse giving me the moderna
Booster said that it is one half dose of the first two vaccines.. .can't help but wonder what it would be like if it had been a full dose.

Yes, yes for taking the paracetamol before the jab! I forgotXmas Sad

NMC2022 · 18/12/2021 21:58

I had nothing!
Rough with first AZ, fine with second. Had Pfizer and a flu jab and just had a sore arm from the flu jab

SwtPeasOnEarth · 18/12/2021 22:00

@KitBumbleB yes! My DDIL did have issues with her periods after her first jabXmas Confused

BananaPant · 18/12/2021 22:01

I never had a period for four months after my first jab.
Katie517 · 18/12/2021 22:02

@KitBumbleB After AZ I didn’t get a period for 3 months, had my Moderna booster on weds and my period arrived today a week early (usually like clockwork)

howley1 · 18/12/2021 22:03

@KitBumbleB my period has came 4 -7 days late after each jab. but then again, if I was ill my period generally is a but late too - like the body has enough to deal with !

SparkleWhale · 18/12/2021 22:04

I had my Moderna booster Thursday afternoon. Thursday was a write off. Fever, chills, sweating through my clothes, couldn't move without groaning from muscle pain and fatigue. Hell.

I woke up today and I'm 80% better. Still tired with mild body aches but the fever broke around 3am and I'm able to do things now. Hoping I'll be back to fit soon!
