PCR turnaround times please

I’m waiting for a PCR test result at the moment. I’m in South Yorkshire. Took the test yesterday at 10:30 and was told 1-3 days.
How long are results taking at the moment for everyone else?

Drive through on Tyneside, both 14 hours, both positive.

Do you think positives are taking longer as they’re checking for the s gene or is that part of the main tests they do?

Just called 119 to see if my test had been registered. Waited 15 mins to speak to someone. That person put me on hold for 10 mins then put the phone down. Wtf??

Postal test, sent Thursday (dropped before 5pm for 6pm collection). Was expecting a bit of a delay but by the sounds of it we'll probably be out of isolation before we get the results.

In all seriousness, I'd like the results for tomorrow so DC can go to grandparents as I have work.

40 hours, by post. London. Negative.

I think it's more to do with the volume of tests being taken.

I don't believe every lab is checking for omicron.

36 hours in north of Scotland

72 hours now, husband binned the barcode leaflet so have just gone and done another one as dd needs a chest x Ray.
Otherwise I would of just isolated her until Christmas day which would of been 10 days since symptoms started.

My PCR got taken at 7AM/collected by courier at 10AM today; it's still not showing on the Royal Mail tracking site.

Still waiting for it to show on RM tracking, and got a reminder email to return it today. 60 hours since it was collected...
