PCR turnaround times please

I’m waiting for a PCR test result at the moment. I’m in South Yorkshire. Took the test yesterday at 10:30 and was told 1-3 days.
How long are results taking at the moment for everyone else?

My PCR got taken at 7AM/collected by courier at 10AM today; it's still not showing on the Royal Mail tracking site.

Walkthrough in Hampshire , 2pm yesterday got result at 1pm today.

In North West.

All mine have been back between 12 and 24 hours after a drive thru test.

Ok so hopefully by tomorrow it will have reached them, if they are still operating that service on Sundays which I assume they are. Thanks! Hope you get yours soon. I'll be isolating anyway but no good for those waiting to return to work, school etc

My experience is that in person results come back much quicker than postal ones. Ones at test centres have been 24-28 hours, postal ones have been 4-7 days.

11am yesterday. Positive PCR result today 11.20 Essex.

Did a postal Thursday, sent off midday, not back yet.

Those that have done a postal one - have you tracked it on royal mail? 2 days later and mine still haven't appeared at the testing center.

Yes mine has arrived yesterday lunchtime but still no results

22 hours for a walk in test. Test last night, results just now. North Wales area

DH got one yesterday it took 14 hours. Yorkshire.

Postal test Thursday morning, still waiting

My DH had a positive PCR result this morning - it took 20 hours from test to result. We are East Midlands. A week earlier DS’s results too 23 hours.

Really wish I'd gone to test centre now but wasn't feeling well enough. Hate the waiting.

Oxfordshire, posted Thurs am. Not back yet, it normally is back by Fri or Sat morning. HCP so test weekly.

I’m so frustrated. Tested at 9am yesterday. Still not results. I had to take yesterday off work and today off work. Really hoping I get my results by the end of today so I can make work tomorrow.

Has anyone else tested in the Cheshire/Warrington area?

DD went to a drive through 9.30am Fri, had her (positive) result back at 10am this morning, SE London.

The postal ones were extremely quick only 3 weeks ago. But they must be inundated now

75 hours and counting here. Walk in test, Bristol area

I had a 30 hour wait this week - previously have always had results within 12 hours.

Drive in PCR at Gatwick - 5pm fri
Results - 1pm Sat

Update: got the 2 DCs back just there (one positive and one negative but toddlers sample was probably awful). Still waiting on mine.

So samples taken 12pm 2 days ago, put in the post, royal mail tracking still doesn't say they've landed anywhere, 2 results back now.

Wow lots of varying times, I hope anyone who hasn’t had a result yet gets a negative one soon.

Test at 11am yestoday (friday) still waiting for results 😔 drive through test hampshire.

Praying we get a negative result by 11am tomorow as we have the panto booked for the afternoon, allready cancelled seeing santa at the farm yestoday. Feeling very guilty as i havent done anything christmasy with my lo yet this year and last year he was only a month old and we were very nervous taking him anywhere beeing so small
