PCR turnaround times please

I’m waiting for a PCR test result at the moment. I’m in South Yorkshire. Took the test yesterday at 10:30 and was told 1-3 days.
How long are results taking at the moment for everyone else?

10 hours yesterday in Essex, astounded!

Just shy of 24 hours. Tested at 3.20 and results back at 3 the next day.

Tested in person in Surrey walk in, 11.30am yesterday results just after 6am this morning.

I did postal tests on Thursday morning for DS and I. Drive thru was a nightmare last time.

DS came back this morning about 11am but I am still waiting for mine!

So annoying. I've never had them separate like this - usually they've always come back within a couple of hours (usually mins) of each other.

What's worse is for the first time it is a real possibility we may have it (although DS was negative) as my DH is positive and although isolating away from us we were mixing freely until he showed positive on a random LFT.

REALLY hoping mine is not lost. You'd think they would have been in the same batch. Equally hoping ours come back soon as I want to get on with life.

I've just managed to track them - both delivered at the same time on the 16th.

Now it's even more bizarre his is back and mine is not. Surely they just work through them in batches 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well atleast it’s just not me.

I’m fed up to be honest - although I’m hoping that mine is likely to be negative as my LFT have been negative but hadn’t tested DS and he spent all day with his dad the day before he tested positive. I thought perhaps he was asymptomatic but apparently not. I do wonder how accurate the test can be on a (just) 2 year old that was fighting me off fairly successfully though

Results literally just in - negative. Now I just need to avoid catching it from DH. His freedom day is the 25th and I want our Christmas! 🤞 for all of you!

Took test Thursday at 1pm at a test site and results came back yesterday at 8pm (negative)

Just got mine back - 52 hours with postal. Negative.

There is a number you can phone and give them the barcode number, they will then tell you if the test is on the system and whether the result is back yet.
If times getting on a bit it's sometimes reassuring just to know it is logged even if the result isn't in yet.

Test at 11am yestoday (friday) still waiting for results 😔 drive through test hampshire.

Praying we get a negative result by 11am tomorow as we have the panto booked for the afternoon, allready cancelled seeing santa at the farm yestoday. Feeling very guilty as i havent done anything christmasy with my lo yet this year and last year he was only a month old and we were very nervous taking him anywhere beeing so small

It's just shit isn't it, life never really being certain, never knowing if plans can go ahead.

It's wonder people are still going for tests knowing that the results can take so long and it ruin plans for potentially no reason.

31 hours currently. It’s a frustrating wait this time as I can’t resume my (freelance) work without the negative result.

Manchester airport site. How long have you been waiting. It's so annoying isn't it as I don't even have symptoms but dd had positive LFT so waiting for her and mine results
