mary246 · 17/12/2021 11:10

23 hours here.

Tested 10.30am yesterday, results back at 9.30am today. Sussex

Pl242 · 17/12/2021 11:13

Marking my place here. Had tests done this morning at 930. So we’ll see.

To be fair even if we test negative we’re planning to cancel most plans next week to hopefully see family at Christmas/not contribute to the awful number of cases, so I’m not as anxious as before re waiting times. Imagine the system is going to be overloaded.

Itchinscratchin · 17/12/2021 11:16

S. West here . Still waiting . PCR is a formality really as DD had a strong positive on Tuesday and is still testing positive on LFTs . She’s fine with a mild runny nose and slight cough .

Have you chased this? The automated message on 119 says they can chase if it's been more than 48 hours
Lucythewonderdog · 17/12/2021 11:57

They will only chase after 72 hours.

mary246 · 17/12/2021 12:00

That's what I thought, but that's not the message on 119 at the moment

Lucythewonderdog · 17/12/2021 12:05

I just rang it this moment and it says 72 hours when you pick the chase results option.
mary246 · 17/12/2021 12:05

Oh it is saying 72 now. Yesterday when I was on hold I definitely heard something about 48? Sorry!

However you can call and check the test has been registered
Properly, I had it back in the summer where the test centre had failed to register it and we never would have got the results! After I called they came through immediately

Flaxmeadow · 17/12/2021 12:37

Over 72 hours now amd still waiting

Flaxmeadow · 17/12/2021 13:01

....just rung them (it has to be an enquiry over 72 hours according to the robot voice). Not sure there is much point ringing though because bloke said "test result not in the system yet" but they contact you "straight away" when they have the result. So the test is either waiting to be done or going through testing ATM. He also said it's very busy

elvis4nuts · 17/12/2021 13:03

This thread is getting more and more depressing!!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

We tested in Medway yesterday - the drive through site in Rochester. We’re still waiting almost 24 hrs now. Pretty sure DS is positive, his LTF was positive on Weds evening and then he had a temperature yesterday and the cough has now started.
Supper16 · 17/12/2021 13:19

S. West here, just passed the 48 hour mark 🙄

Timeisavirtue · 17/12/2021 13:22

They’ve lost dd one 🤨 So apparently they are investigating and I’ll hear within 3 days by which dd isolation period will be over. I told them not to bother, they said they are doing it anyway.

Jericha · 17/12/2021 13:22

Sw England too and now at 53 hours

elvis4nuts · 17/12/2021 13:23

@DrunkenKoala
The one near the airport?
I was there about 9:15am yesterday.
I'll tag you in a post when my results come in 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
