Not vaccinated but need to show Covid pass...

Basically I need to show a covid pass to get into the venue of my works Xmas do.

I haven't been vaccinated but have seen I can get a negative PCR and still have a 'Covid pass' as such.

My question is does the Covid pass on the app appear as a PR code scrambled picture thingy whether it's a double jabbed pass or a negative PCR result?

Hope that makes sense.

I think a fit to fly PCR has a qr code. May be wrong

murcimari · 29/11/2021 20:33

Will they accept a negative lft? Most venues do.

Thecommentsmakemechuckle · 29/11/2021 20:35

I’d assume it’s probably just the email/txt you get from the nhs to show as proof of negative lateral flow test.

I'm pretty sure that your COVID pass will appear the same (a QR code to scan) whether you have it via vaccination or from a negative test

You could double check with someone who has been vaccinated? Just get them to download the QR code and check if it has any other information on it.

TheVolturi · 29/11/2021 20:36

And this is why it's better to be vaccinated surely?

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 29/11/2021 20:37

Is that because you want to trick your colleagues in to thinking you've had the vaccine?

SilverGlitterBaubles · 29/11/2021 20:39

Do they mean to register a negative LFT?

Lostinacloud · 29/11/2021 20:39

The self reporting lateral flow result texts and emails include a QR code now dont they? Surely you can use that?

MrsTerryPratchett · 29/11/2021 20:39

Call the venue and ask.

I’ve just registered one half an hour ago as was testing for work and the email didn’t include a QR code, just says it’s negative.
Siepie · 29/11/2021 20:50

The covid pass looks the same whether it's from vaccination or a negative test. You can do an LFT and register it online.

murcimari · 29/11/2021 20:50

Text messages also don't include a qr code for lft or pcr results.

Skyll · 29/11/2021 20:51

Why does it matter?

NeedAHoliday2021 · 29/11/2021 20:51

Pcrs show up on the nhs app but my lfd results don’t… my mum’s do. I think it depends on your gp maybe.

but you only get a covid pass generated if vaccinated or had covid in the last 6 months, don't you?
Comefromaway · 29/11/2021 20:54

The venue should be able to clarify but where my dd works you have to show one of the following

NHS Covid pass showing double vaccination
Evidence of negative lateral flow test or pcr test in last 48 hours (email of results)
Evidence of having recovered from Covid in last 90 days (email from test & trace)

Thank you! This is all good info. I've ordered some lateral flow tests online and will register it the day before 👍

If that's true, what's to stop you not taking the test and just registering a negative result?

JamieNorthlife · 29/11/2021 21:15

you need to register your LTF test and then link to get a covid pass. you get a certificate with a barcode and 2 options, one to print a certificate and one to send via email.

@Wellbythebloodyhell 🤦‍♀️

gamerchick · 29/11/2021 21:22

People can lie about the LFT result. Maybe you should ring and ask so you don't get turned away.

Dreamstate · 29/11/2021 21:24

A friend had to show a negative test and used lateral flow test. Didnt even do the test, just opened the kit and plugged in the barcode number and also it was negative.

Thats how stupid these tests are. People can fake results

SnugKnights · 29/11/2021 21:26

@Wellbythebloodyhell

Yep just do that eh OP. Who cares if you’re asymptotic and infect a load of people. It doesn’t really matter does it Hmm
