Anyone done one recently, how long until you got the results? Did one Monday posted for the 530pm pick up that evening. Still waiting. We are in southeast !

Posted our tests on Tuesday. My results were back Friday, DS on Saturday morning.

I think 72 hours will be in a few hours time then I posted in a priority postbox so would've been collected at 4pm. I assumed they wouldn't do anything before then.

They asked me what time the test was done at and took it 72 hours from there so I'd try from whatever time you did the test, you never know!

Oh brill - I think we did the test around 1pm so I'll call them when DD goes for her nap. Thank you!

DD is again a close contact, so back on this exciting merry go round for us

Treaclepie19 · 22/11/2021 14:40

Result came back negative. Which is so crazy after a positive LFT.
To be honest with how poorly he was I was hoping it was positive because it would be over for a bit.

We've just been told DD is a close contact too so she's off nursery for a few days either way as they're closing, so results can take a little longer if they need to now Grin

We've got a negative result! Approx 75 hours from the time of testing.

Crunchymum · 22/11/2021 18:21

@Crunchymum

We posted ours at 1pm yesterday (priority postbox last collection 3pm) and no word yet.

DC2 and I both have horrendous coughs so regardless of the result she won't be going in to school tomorrow (I WFH) but I'd rather have the all clear so I can send my other 2 in, with a clear conscience.

We are Central London and we've always had good turn around from the test centre (longest 28h and fastest 8h) but I am home alone at the moment so ordered home tests this time.

Got our (negative) results at 8/9pm last night so was about a 32h turn around.

Was just going to update… we never got our DDs result in the end. Following that call to 119 when they said they would look in to it, no communication since. No faith in the system at all. Thankfully we got to the end of our isolation but think I’ll try and do a drive through one next time although do find it easier to do when she’s asleep hence the home test.

WoodenReindeer · 28/11/2021 22:31

We followed up our distance one after 3 days and it was found a couple of hours later (they said it might be lost!)
The drive through result from the same week never came!

We have had to do another test sat am - result came sun eve which wasn't so bad but longer than the 24 hour tests we had been used to.

I guess this is only going to get worse over winter.... it really does make you think twice about testing unfortunately.
