Anyone done one recently, how long until you got the results? Did one Monday posted for the 530pm pick up that evening. Still waiting. We are in southeast !

Still waiting on results from Monday here. Luckily not having to self isolate as ours were precautionary (DD was a close contact) and no symptoms here. Just a pain when you're trying to do the right thing and yet end up stressing out because it's taking so long.

Preg19 · 19/11/2021 09:50

@LunaNova hopefully you get them today!

We sent back a close contact PCR for DD on Weds and not heard anything. A friend did a drive through one at 8.30am Weds and hasnt even had her results yet, so assume we may be waiting a while. Just had a postal one arrive for DH (who has symptoms) and will get that sent back this afternoon and also expecting a long wait (South West).

Leftbutcameback · 19/11/2021 14:31

Posted Monday lunchtime (a couple of weeks ago) and result Tuesday evening (positive)

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 14:35

Dials that's similar to us (also SW) . However husbands friend had one returned in 24 hours 🙄.

I hope they havent lost a load...

DialsMavis · 19/11/2021 14:47

Oh gosh I hppe not @WholeClassKeptIn my friends other friends had theirs back in the usual time frame. It's close contact central round here! Comimg from all angles

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 14:49

Its odd isnt it. Im really worried we will end up isolating forever for no reason with no way of tracing...

DialsMavis · 19/11/2021 16:10

I just asked another local friend and hers came back within 24 hours this week Confused

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 16:15

O h heck. Where are ours?!

Phatsia · 19/11/2021 16:19

Im waiting for one sent off on Tuesday (south east) , it's so annoying waiting, hopefully everyone's comes back soon!

Phatsia · 19/11/2021 16:19

Tell a lie, it was weds sorry!

BuffaloHigh · 19/11/2021 16:24

I sent one off on Wednesday and haven’t got results back yet. It’s frustrating.

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 17:35

So our postal one arrived there but the result is lost 🙄🤔.

PCR in person one they wont look at until 72 hours exactly so need to ring again tomorrow.

Whats the chance of 2 tests goong missing 🙄

andi62 · 19/11/2021 17:53

They will chase a result if your test was taken 72 hours or more previously, the SE has been extremely busy and there was quite a few delays, according to the lady who answered yesterday. She got it sorted and a texted result was received, 3 hours after calling 119.

ScottishTinydancer321 · 19/11/2021 17:54

@WholeClassKeptIn ours took 60 hours so still hope

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 17:55

Oh that's helpful. He filled in a form to chase the first test as it def arrived but he sounded like it was a lost cause. And then can chase the other one tomorrow.

Maybe chasing will get somewhere! I am imagining having to book again.

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 17:55

Every email I get I'm thinking it might be it!

DialsMavis · 19/11/2021 18:35

Ive just asked DH if he even got an email saying test had arrived at centre, he says no!

Does everyone get that type of email mentioned up thread? Is it a new thing? As can't recall ever getting one for previous tests

germainegrainne · 19/11/2021 20:19

My daughters positive home test took 6 days to come through! Eventually we did a drive through test on day 4 of waiting and had the result in 12 hours.

icelollycraving · 19/11/2021 22:53

Sent ours off today. I’ve never had a tracking email either. Really hoping we get them by school on Monday.

FabricedeSauveterre · 19/11/2021 23:00

Does anyone know what would happen if it was accidentally not put in a priority postbox.

icelollycraving · 20/11/2021 06:14

Presumably it would still arrive but not as quickly which would delay results on an already slow service.

DCINightingale · 20/11/2021 06:32

I never had a tracking email. But if you noted down the number on the box before you posted it, you can use that to track it on royal mails website.

Still waiting here for my test posted on Tuesday. I'm starting to lose hope. DH finally got around to doing his yesterday so it will be interesting to see if his come back before mine!

BarefootHippieChick · 20/11/2021 10:43

That's after the first set of PCR tests they sent me were missing half the kit so were completely unusable

I had the same here. Ordered home test on Monday, finally got a working ones to send off on Thursday, I can see it was delivered Thursday evening but no result as yet. Tbh dd is nearly at the end of her 10 days anyway so at this rate the results will be pointless!

Phatsia · 20/11/2021 13:35

Just got ours sent of on weds at 5pm. Negative thankfully!
