Vaccination card for booster

PheasantsNest · 08/11/2021 10:52

Are you supposed to be given a new card for a booster? My DH had his today and was told they only give them for first and second and not the booster. I was given one at a different vaccination centre.
@Tana433 couldn't agree more. When did it become a trio of vaccinations we needed to get? I have had Covid. Been doubly vaccinated. I want to let nature do its job now. And I don't want to be penalised for it.
Because immunity wanes. I'm happy to have a booster whenever deemed necessary and I'm certainly not listening to the other likes of
@Tana433
who seemingly refused the vaccination in the first place.

@Cuck00soup

Details of boosters can be found in the events and consultations section of the app, but may take a few days to show up.

They are not part of the Covid passport as they are not needed for travel

Not at the moment, but there have been reports of countries having rules about how recently you have to have been vaccinated.
user1471467679 · 08/11/2021 22:03

No idea about booster jabs but I would 100% insist on one. My 16 year old didn’t keep his and hisNHS record has been ‘lost’. We have tried on multiple occasions to have it investigated with no joy. At the moment, he can’t leave the country!

Fiddlersgreen · 08/11/2021 22:03

@Yiayoula

Had my booster on Thursday at local hub, previous jabs were at GP surgery . On the NHS app , if I go to View your GP Heath Record - Medicines - Acute short term Medicines , the booster details are listed together with those of the previous vaccinations. HTH.
I had mine on October 15th at my workplace (nhs hospital) we were told it would show on the app so no card/proof given. I have tried the above but it is not listed on my app

Nope

AnyFucker · 08/11/2021 22:24

So far, Croatia, Austria and Israel are preventing entry for people whose last vaccination was greater than 6 months ago

How long before other countries do that ?

I don't think it will take long for more countries to follow suit, as they have every right to do.
Tana433 · 08/11/2021 22:33

@ilovesooty i am not asking you to listen to me, you need to make your own mind up. Personally since this all started i havent had a vaccine or even taken a test and have not felt ill once. Am i just lucky? I dont know but i trust my immune system to keep me healthy and there is nothing i want to do or anywhere i want to go that would allow me to be coerced into getting a jab i neither want or need just to take part in 'normal' society. Happy to stay home thanks.

Leftbutcameback · 08/11/2021 22:53

We've already had to reconsider Austria as our holiday for next summer because the booster doesn't show up, and my OH isn't entitled to one anyway. Pretty sure it will be sorted by next summer but having lost hundreds to BA at the start of this all I don't really want to risk it.

I had my booster on 1 Nov. It's not showing on the app. I understand I might not need it for travel but it says that my covid pass expires on 8 December 2021. So do you know what happens then? I've had my booster but without proof does it mean I will be treated as not being vaccinated?

And your choice not to be vaccinated at all has no relevance to a thread about booster vaccinations and people querying being able to demonstrate having received them.

This is an important part of your medical history. Without this being recorded, you could turn up to a walk in centre and be 're-boostered'.

Record of my booster appeared shortly after it was administered (not at GP surgery).
Record of my flu vaccine appeared shortly after it was administered (not at GP surgery).
Records of all my repeat prescriptions appear promptly.
Records of any GP input appear promptly.
That is the purpose of the app.

As I said in my previous reply, if mine didn't show up, I would contact the vaccination centre to ask them to update it.

If still no joy, I might even consider attending a walk in centre after 8 weeks had passed and get another booster.

User5632986 · 09/11/2021 04:33

It doesn't sound very organised, I'm not going to bother getting mine until the new year, its due from early/mid December, maybe they will have got their act together by then.

The NHS IT and recording is not reliable enough to not have paper copy of your jab to chase things up if needed, especially as it is likely to be needed at some point to have access to certain things, its not like the flu jab which you don't need to prove you have had.

The Covid passes are only valid for a month and then you go in and generate another one when needed - we've just done this.

vjg13 · 09/11/2021 06:37

My third vaccination shows under the Acute medicines section of the App but not in the vaccination pass section. My flu vaccination isn't on there at all Confused

Fiddlersgreen · 09/11/2021 06:45

Can I check which app it is that is showing the booster?
NHS covid app or just NHS app?

GoodnightGrandma · 09/11/2021 06:46

If you have an app for your medical records via the GP, check on there.

AnyFucker · 09/11/2021 06:50

Yes, it’s not there

It’s the NHS app. The first two does appear on the COVID passport section. All 3 show as acute short term medicines.
RockallMalinHebrides · 09/11/2021 06:53

It looks like this. The 3rd dose takes about a week to appear.

RockallMalinHebrides · 09/11/2021 06:54

This time with the photo.

Vaccination card for booster
RobinsReliant · 09/11/2021 07:05

The booster is recorded on your GP record but you have to ask your GP surgery for access to that part of your record which shows vaccinations (and other information). I contacted my surgery and access was given the same day. The flu vaccine is recorded on there too.

The Covid pass automatically renews when you go on the NHS app or you can download a new pdf version from there.

Imfedupwithallofthis · 09/11/2021 07:49

So you keep saying.

Have you done anything about It yet?

ColettesEarrings · 09/11/2021 07:55

@AnyFucker Another possible place to look - in my NHS app, when I generate a covid pass, if I then scroll down past the qr code, there's a link for View Covid records. When I click on to that, it shows all my reported tests and my vaccines. Any use?
