Vaccination card for booster

PheasantsNest · 08/11/2021 10:52

Are you supposed to be given a new card for a booster? My DH had his today and was told they only give them for first and second and not the booster. I was given one at a different vaccination centre.

@fournonblondes

Glad I read this. No card no booster for me. I only do this for proof to travel so I won’t.
The card wouldn’t be valid for proof of travel anyway, that needs to the proper COVID pass
herecomesthsun · 08/11/2021 12:34

I got another card, but I don't think I got a sticker...

Sonex · 08/11/2021 12:36

The card is completely irrelevant and non official - you could make them yourself!!

Sonex · 08/11/2021 12:37

Only the app or a printout from the app is accepted for travel.

NautaOcts · 08/11/2021 13:05

3 weeks since booster and not showing on the app either. Great.
So sounds like there is an issue and the app can’t record 3?

Kitkat151 · 08/11/2021 13:09

They not giving them out in my area ( NW) ....it will be added to nhs Covid vaccine app I was told....but at moment you only need the 2 as proof of vaccination status

ilovesooty · 08/11/2021 13:20

I assume it will go on the app in due course and we could request a print out from 119.

I'm having mine on Friday but a card wouldn't be valid for travel so to me it's neither here nor there.

And I would be prepared to have one every 6 months if it's deemed necessary.

Cookerhood · 08/11/2021 15:03

It will be in the GP record buy of the app not the travel/vaccine passport section (yet). I know some people haven't got it in there yet, but it should be either under vaccinations or short term acute medicines.
The card is just a souvenir really, although useful if your record vanishes from the system.

TrevorFountain · 08/11/2021 15:09

@heldinadream

Yep got card. So delighted to have booster now! Smile
@heldinadream, what's the word written above 'booster' on your card, if you don't mind me asking? I'm intrigued.

Glad you got boosted Smile I was very relieved to have mine.

heldinadream · 08/11/2021 15:44

@TrevorFountain it's 'Comirnaty' which is the trade? name of the Pfizer vaccine, Pfizer being the company who make it, not the vaccine itself.

Imfedupwithallofthis · 08/11/2021 16:03

To those of you saying that the booster/3rd dose doesn't appear in your NHS app, are you looking in the correct place?

www.nhs.uk/contact-us/vaccine-record-help/
"Why is my data wrong or missing?
This could be for one of the following reasons:
you had your last dose of the vaccine within the past 5 working days and your record has not yet been updated"

If it is not recorded after 5 days, I would contact the vaccination centre. Mine had appeared by the following day (I think it was input on the day I had my vaccine).

But, as Cookerhood said, will be in the GP record section

Cookerhood · 08/11/2021 16:19

I always think Comirnarty sounds like a rather nice village somewhere in Ireland.

heldinadream · 08/11/2021 16:22

@TrevorFountain Smile
Very relieved to be boosted, but I'll be glad when the side effects pass. I've been shattered and fluey for 2 days now. Keep falling asleep!

Yes, and it is not there

There are two bits of the app though - vaccination record, and the covid pass. Only the second one is used for travel and as I understand it isn't capable of having a third vaccine added. Would be great to see if anyone has got a third one added in that part

oneglassandpuzzled · 08/11/2021 21:13

I don’t think the travel pass is on the COVID 19 nhs app.it’s on the ‘normal’ NHS app.

Leftbutcameback · 08/11/2021 21:19

It is, yeah, I was getting confused. But I still don't think anyone can have their third vaccine on the travel pass

Cookerhood · 08/11/2021 21:32

No they can't, not yet.

blackcatclub · 08/11/2021 21:35

@Tana433

Why are you even buying into this BS? You have had 2 vaccines in the last few months and now they want you to have another? 3 in the space of a few months? Is that even safe? When are people going to stop and question this complete nonsense or is this your lives now?
Because immunity wanes after six months. Why are you being so rude?
Leftbutcameback · 08/11/2021 21:38

Happy to have every vaccine going, and consider myself in a privileged position to have them offered to me on the NHS.

Cuck00soup · 08/11/2021 21:41

Details of boosters can be found in the events and consultations section of the app, but may take a few days to show up.

They are not part of the Covid passport as they are not needed for travel

Mojoj · 08/11/2021 21:43

@Tana433 couldn't agree more. When did it become a trio of vaccinations we needed to get? I have had Covid. Been doubly vaccinated. I want to let nature do its job now. And I don't want to be penalised for it.
