Did anyone go to this festival and not come down with COVID! Every local youngster who went to it seems to have contracted COVID, and I see it keeps getting mentioned on MN, and all posters can't be referring to the same youngsters.

Have other festivals been the same?

Both my DC are at Reading. Both have studied and worked during the pandemic and funded the trip themselves. Both are double vaxed and had covid linked to work. I'm delighted they are out having fun, I have loved seeing third Snapchat stories.

Yes Sad . Fond memories of a cuddly toy tombola at 5p a ticket. The dcs left triumphantly with about 100 grungy old animals. Then all the animals had a disco in the evening…. Ah, happy times.

We had a thing where you had to go away with 50p and buy the most weird/hideous thing you could find

Happy days

I'm not getting the focus on festies personally.
A lot of the attendees will be back in education shortly. In indoor environments.
Like it or not, covid is going to rip.
