Deaths Due To PfizerVaccine?

roses2 · 17/08/2021 10:48

I've read a few posts on MN now that Pfizer has been rolled out to millions that the number of deaths caused by receiving the vaccine is not far off the AZ vaccine.

The press horrible about AZ and has really tainted its benefits whereas there is very little negative press about Pfizer.

Does anyone have any comparison (easy to read) data on deaths caused by the various vaccines and does anyone know why there is so little info on deaths caused by Pfizer (PR / lawyers working overtime on adverse media?!)

OK sorry I see I got the stats wrong now - oops! . The reports don't state how many vaccinations were given to calculate the % deaths

The dashboard (and every BBC news programme) tells you 47 million people have been vaccinated.

roses2 · 17/08/2021 22:12

Pfizer - 45m vaccines given. 486 / 0.00108% deaths

AZ 48.6m vaccines given. 1036 / 0.002% deaths

Hopefully I got my maths right this time!

You can be on blood thinners & beta blockers if you develop an arrhythmia following myocarditis. The blood thinners prevent the arrhythmia from causing clots & the beta blocker slows down the heart rate if it's a fast arrhythmia.

That's it!

I'm sorry for posting this thread and freaking people out. I was more motivated by why AZ gets such bad press when the effects of Pfizer are not far off Blush
At a guess IMO it's Pfizer costs summick like 12 euros a dose and AZ was made at cost.

Pfizer and moderna have made billionaires.

@whythooo Excellent post

Did anyone receive one of these when getting their vaccine?? First time I've ever seen this. Someone shared it on IG

*Asking because I'm not sure it's even real. Looks official. But....?

titchy · 17/08/2021 23:16

'Due to a high level of fatalities....'

Yeah right! Not even trying to make it look genuine with that hyperbole!

I got information in a leaflet when I had my vaccination. It didn't look like that though.

Christ there’s some bad fake crap being circulated there!

@titchy

There diagnosis is not tachycardia, will ask tomorrow.

Probably anxiety then, can't think of any other reason for prescribing BBs if not for tachycardia Hmm

Can't you?

www.nhs.uk/conditions/beta-blockers/

Angina
Heart failure
Atrial fibrillation
Heart attack
High blood pressure

Less commonly -
Over active thyroid
Tremor
Anxiety
Glaucoma (as eye drops)

The only one I hadn't heard of was for Glaucoma, the others are routine in general medicine.

Nerdygirl · 18/08/2021 08:19

Thanks @Imfedupwithallofthis . I think it was atrial fibrillation . Manageable yes but not great to have

FeelingJittery1 · 18/08/2021 09:06

@Nerdygirl did you have Pfizer? Is that why you are worried?

Nerdygirl · 18/08/2021 09:11

Yes had Pfizer. Not so much worried but frustrated that any side effects are dismissed as something else rather than properly considered . We need to capture the side effects to know the risk abs make an informed choice

No-one I know got a leaflet talking about the yellow card or even that there was a small chance of side effects which doesn’t seem right for a medical procedure

Weren’t you shown something with the possible side effects before you were vaccinated? You can access the information sheet here…

With atrial fibrillation you usually have blood thinners as well. So in line with your original post.
FeelingJittery1 · 18/08/2021 09:38

Is there a timeline whereby the symptoms are directly linked to the vaccine? As in when I can ‘assume’ that the headache, or any other ache is not a blood clot?

Or a heart flutter is potentially a vitamin deficiency or anxiety and not one of the other conditions linked to the vaccine?

MareofBeasttown · 18/08/2021 09:43

DS got Pfizer 10 days ago and got a full leaflet explaining side effects. Everyone I know who got Pfizer has got it.

Same. It’s part of the protocol. Dose two I said I didn’t need another one but was still offered it.

You keep saying that side effects are dismissed but I'm not sure why? It is strange that your two colleagues who both happened to suffer atrial fibrillation were also both unaware that they should report this as a side effect -but presumably now they know and have done?

How do you think myocarditis was identified as a side effect if no one was taking it seriously? I'm not sure why the insistence that there's a big cover up going on.

I am also genuinely shocked that no-one you know got a leaflet regarding vaccination, information, and side effects, as it's a routine part of the vaccination process (have worked in a centre). Some people turn it down it down for second dose but we always offer.

I don't know any friends/family/colleagues who didn't get a leaflet.

ZednotZee · 18/08/2021 10:22

My mum has suffered a prerenal AKI due to a delayed anaphylactic reaction post Pfizer.
Rha kfully she seems to be recovering now but it was a very scary time.

She had AZ first dose but because of the news re clots and her having APS she was only offered Pfizer for the second dose.

Now her GP has exempted her from the scheduled booster programme despite her being CEV on long term immunosuppressive therapy.

So yeah, I feel she's been stitched up due to profit reading this thread.

Oh and to the arsehole up thread who presumed that its 'antivaxxers' who seem to know the people with adverse reactions; I am not an antivaxxer. I am anti this vaccine, for me, for now.
And I am absolutely devastated for my mum.
Shame on you.

I really hope your mum makes a speedy recovery and she does well with not having a booster.

I did not say that @ZednotZee and I'm certainly not saying that everyone saying they know someone who had a serious side effect is lying - of course they're not.

I was simply pointing out that on here there does seem to be a correlation with posters who have had a strong anti-vaccine posting history now knowing multiple people who have died or suffered serious adverse events despite these sad events being rare on a population level.

I find it a coincidence that despite severe adverse effects being very rare (I personally don't know anyone) it seems to be the posters who have been adamantly anti-vaccines since the roll out who know multiple people affected.

ZednotZee · 18/08/2021 10:39

@Foliageeverywhere122

Ah, ok fair enough and thank you for your well wishes.
I'm sorry but this still feels very raw as she only had the Pfizer on the 3rd so I am still in the thick of my anxiety and upset.

I have been pretty anti this vax, but only for myself on previous threads.
I would never presume to dissuade anybody else from making whatever choice they feel is individually in their best interests.
Even after this experience.

Most of my colleagues had Pfizer in January (HCP) and nobody else had had such an adverse event.
I don't personally know anybody who has had a negative outcome from the AZ either.

I know this is going to sound extreme, but I really think people who produce and spread fake new like this should be prosecuted in some way. It is so dangerous and will cost lives if people pay attention to it. Sadly some do.
