Dad is in hospital

My dad has been admitted to hospital with COVID this morning. Oxygen sats 85%, high temperature. He’s unvaxed (into all sort of conspiracy theories) but don’t get me started on that! He’s had COVID for more than a week now, how likely is it going to get worse? He’s 72 but no serious chronic illnesses, not obese.
Him and my mum live in a different country and I’m so worried. If he’s to get worse, when is it likely to happen?

Thanks all for your kind messages of support. I’m sat on a train to London to get my visa back home (they don’t allow dual citizenship). Crying my eyes out but I’m so grateful to British people for not asking anything and just let me be on my own with my emotions.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear your sad update. My dad died nearly 5 days ago (not from Covid, he had pneumonia) and we arrived at the hospital 15 minutes after he passed, so I know the feeling of being upset that nobody was holding his hand. Sending love
