Terrified of vaccine. I keep cancelling it

Just that. I am so so terrified of the vaccine side effects!

I have posted under this name before regarding my extreme phobia of vomiting/sickness. I have had CBT twice, which hasn’t worked (clearly). Looking into hypnotherapy but it’s just out of my budget at the moment.

How many people have had nausea/vomiting after the vaccine? I would rather people be honest so I can prepare with anti sickness/ginger :( my appointment is now booked for Wednesday and I am determined not to cancel this one...

I know - I sound pathetic!

Not pathetic, everyone is afraid of something! If it helps I had absolutely no side effects other than a bit of a sore arm for a day. I had the Pfizer

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/06/2021 19:07

I had Pfizer and had zero side effects other than a sore arm for one day.

Singlenotsingle · 13/06/2021 19:07

No nausea or vomiting. No side effects at all! Piece of cake! Just do it, OP.

3peassuit · 13/06/2021 19:08

I had sickness the day after the first vaccination, I had no reaction at all after the second. I do have a rather weak digestive system and am prone to vomiting after taking any medication.

NecklessMumster · 13/06/2021 19:09

I had a sore arm and felt achy but no nausea and personally don't know of anyone who had nausea as a side effect

MyHusbandTheIdiot · 13/06/2021 19:09

Absolutely zero side effects after Pfizer. I actually don’t know anyone who’s had anything to write home about.

MyHusbandTheIdiot · 13/06/2021 19:09

(After any of the vaccines I mean)

ScarlettDarling · 13/06/2021 19:10

I felt shivery, achey and tired but no nausea or sickness at all.

User1110 · 13/06/2021 19:10

Thank you all!

@3peassuit what vaccine did you have? I am having Pfizer.

I don't know anyone who reported vomiting as a side effect of any of the jabs to be fair. Flu symptoms or being a bit achey/tired seem to be the main ones. You'll be fine.

orangejuicer · 13/06/2021 19:11

AstraZeneca -
dose one - bit of fatigue
dose two - nothing

38/going on 39

TheresWaldo · 13/06/2021 19:12

I had Pfizer and main feeling was that I was wading through treacle for a day or so after each jab. Didn't feel ill. My dd had pfizer too and had no side effects at all.

DelilahDingleberry · 13/06/2021 19:12

Fatigue after the second (AZ) but otherwise nothing. I haven’t heard anyone talking about nausea or vomiting as a side effect of any covid vaccine.

bookh · 13/06/2021 19:12

Pfizer, zero side effects

OnlyTheLangOfTheTitberg · 13/06/2021 19:13

Six members of my family have had Pfizer. Not one of them has nausea or vomiting as a side effect. One had flu-type symptoms and a bad headache for a couple of days after their first jab. The other five had no side effects at all, not even a sore arm in most cases.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 13/06/2021 19:14

Pfizer, just a tender arm after as expected, nothing else

muddledmidget · 13/06/2021 19:15

Have had both AZ doses, and no nausea at all, had chills, aches, fatigue, hand/feet swelling and grumpy. Having spoken to a lot of customers about their jabs (as a pharmacist I talk to a lot of patients about their side effects/concerns/experiences and always ask if I see someone wearing their sticker) and have only known one person claim to experience nausea, and I think he was more likely just pulling a sickie.

Scarby9 · 13/06/2021 19:15

No side effects at all for me with either doose (AZ).
Almost everyone I know has now had one dose of either AZor Pfizer. Most have had both. Some have had mild side effects but not one of those has included nausea or vomiting.

simbobs · 13/06/2021 19:21

AZ, no side effects whatsoever after either dose. I don't know of anyone having sickness after the jab either. Some just feel a bit fluey for a say or so. Covid might make you feel a whole lot worse, though. Please set aside your worries and just go.

User1110 · 13/06/2021 19:22

Thank you all!

I really want to go ahead with this one and get it done.

OP posts:
InnaBun · 13/06/2021 19:22

Pfizer - really mild nausea, helped with ginger tea

orangejuicer · 13/06/2021 19:22

Do it OP. You'll be so proud of yourself when you do!

InnaBun · 13/06/2021 19:23

I felt a bit dizzy with it. I should add I am prone to nausea when I get a cold even.

wildeverose · 13/06/2021 19:24

Pfizer,
Sore arm and nothing else at all!

User1110 · 13/06/2021 19:25

Does anyone know if you can take things like tea/coffee with you in a flask? I think having some ginger tea there for that 15 mins they make you wait will be useful for me (I’m bound to make myself feel sick with anxiety!).
