Moving Moderna 2nd Jabs Sooner

I have read that over 40s are encouraged to move their 2nd jabs sooner. Has anyone successfully cancelled and rebooked for sooner? My partner is wary of cancelling and ending up with a longer interval. Thanks!

I've just taken the plunge and rebooked for next week (1 week earlier) in Stoke-on-Trent. An important event for dd had been moved and clashed with my original date.

I've managed three weeks earlier at Sunderland Nightingale. There were loads of appointments available.

I’ve moved mine forward now from 11 July to this Saturday. Also moved venue from Islington to Baslildon.

I've just gone for it too and managed to move mine to 8 weeks after my first (from 11 weeks after). Going back to Islington BDC but it was also offering me Guys Centre 1 and a Day Lewis pharmacy in Stoke Newington as some of my nearest venues.

Really pleased especially as all the clinical trials for Moderna had a 28 day gap so 11 weeks felt really long.

Ok I’m going to give mine a go.

When I tried before there was no flexibility and appointments on 12 weeks -14 weeks only but fingers crossed ...!

Also taken the plunge and managed to book my moderna for 8 weeks instead of 11 (Islington BDC) - DH did the same. Had loads of slots from 9 July onwards for me

Just moved mine to the 6th July (was the 19th)! Also changed venue to Bicester (which wasn't an available venue before).

I am 36 and the nhs website was giving me the option of an 8 week gap yesterday rather then the previous 11, Pfizer. However as my first was with gp I emailed them and I am now having second tomorrow, 4 week interval, amazing and I am so pleased!

Thanks so much for this reading everyone's success I managed to re book mine and hubby's from 11 weeks to 8 weeks!
So only 6 weeks to wait now instead of 9! And it was a nearer venue.
Really pleased 😀
What gap has everyone got now?
Ours will be 8 weeks with Pfizer

I'm under 40 and managed to move my Moderna 3 weeks earlier. Our school was advising all parents to do this recently, on advice from the Dept of Health because primaries in our area have been hit by the Delta wave.

It was showing me Guys 1 as an option when I changed mine earlier. I went with the Islington BDC as I had my first there and they had lots of availability to choose from when I was booking earlier today. Mine is now booked for 9th July (was 27th July).

I was brave and managed to move St Helens Rugby Ground Moderna forward by 4 weeks.

I've just moved mine 3 weeks earlier and to a much closer location. My first was Moderna at the St Helens rugby grounds. Can anyone reassure me please because it almost doesn't seem real - I managed to book my second at our local pharmacy- are they going to ask me to mix and match with AZ when I get there or am I definitely going to be offered Moderna? And I know I probably sound paranoid but it just seems too good to be true!

Is it a Boots in Manchester? I’m in St helens and kicking myself I didn’t check Manchester.

Is not licensed to mix and match so they’d be more likely to turn you away than give you anything else.

29 here just moved my moderna forward form the 29th August to the 9th August.
