I just have a big nose.

Look, there are countries and regimes where people honestly don't have rights, or freedoms. They don't have the freedom to do a freedom march.

Take part, enjoy it. It is your freedom to do so!

Cornettoninja · 29/05/2021 20:22

@vickyda

You seriously still can't get your brains around any of it can you? Are there people dying all over the streets of the UK? Yes or no? The answer is no, right? Therefore they are lying... just like they are lying to us here.
Therefore? There is no therefore you plum you’ve reached a conclusion with half the sum missing!

I can accept that there is a possibility (no matter how small or unlikely) that you’re right and I’m wrong for thinking you’re waaaay off the mark. Can you say the same? If you can’t then I’m going to let you into a secret - one of us is displaying signs of being brainwashed (hint - it’s not me).

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 29/05/2021 20:44

Why hold a lockdown march when we're pretty much out of lockdown? Nuts.

Thelm · 29/05/2021 20:57

WTF is this thread? You are free to find who and whatever you want attractive but I fail to see how someone you describe as having a cockroach quality can be attractive to you?! A cockroach is not attractive!

This is a joke thread surely?

Thelm · 29/05/2021 20:58

I have no idea how this happened but I’m on the wrong thread! 🤦‍♀️

HazeyJaneII · 29/05/2021 21:07

@Thelm now I can't stop thinking about the good qualities of cockroaches....hardy, sociable, won't die in a nuclear explosion...#cockroachlove

Gladimnotcampinginthisweather · 29/05/2021 21:11

Why are these things always called 'marches' when all people do is amble along?

Thelm · 29/05/2021 21:18

@HazeyJaneII 😂 I mean I wouldn’t harm one but I don’t want to go out with someone who had cockroach like qualities!

TruelyStruttingHotpants · 29/05/2021 21:41

Brilliant😂😂😂

Sounds like you are on a thread even more funny than this one

TruelyStruttingHotpants · 29/05/2021 21:43

What is a cockroach type quality anyway?

chickenyhead · 29/05/2021 21:55

Ohhh this thread just got real...cockroache like qualities, this is a real thing...goes off to search other threads...

Thelm · 29/05/2021 22:19

TBF, I didn’t bat an eyelid when I read your post, this thread has been hilarious! And we should worry about cockroaches - they could easily take over the world and they’re very stubborn when it comes to trying to kill them.
Furries · 30/05/2021 00:10

I don’t think this thread went in the direction the OP intended 🤣

If there was any trouble there today, at least all art students can be excluded from any lines of enquiry - all of the placards are shite!

And what small cluster of “brain” cells thinks it’s a good idea to cover a bus like that? You know, a vehicle that kind of gives lots of people freedom by transporting them from A to B?

Aren't pensioners tfl bus passes called freedom passes 😂

Love the art student comment FurriesGrin

TruelyStruttingHotpants · 30/05/2021 00:36

There you go. Definitely a bit ironic. Stop the bus working that is excepting freedom passes

Freedom march today.
Furries · 30/05/2021 00:39

Ha, yes - “freedom passes except for days when there is a freedom march”. Quite a catchy slogan.

I’ve been doing my own, silent protest since getting my vaccine. Staying home, watching crap tv and talking to the cat. Give it a few more weeks and I’ll have bored Bill Gates to death.

Furries · 30/05/2021 03:09

Saw on the news the protests in Brazil today - now, THEY really have something to protest about.

GappyValley · 30/05/2021 07:26
@Tealightsandd They aren't claiming it's the homeless in London. They are claiming people are dying of Covid and there is no room in any of our hospitals and they have the england variant
Who is ‘they’?

Because the government is publishing daily stats of how many people are dying and how many people are in hospital, and thankfully, those numbers are very very low

So if ‘they’ are telling you differently, maybe stop listening to ‘them’ and read the official stats instead?

Or maybe your tinfoil helmet has slipped down in front of your eyes and that’s what’s making it so hard for you to read properly..?

shewalkslikerihanna · 30/05/2021 07:57

@Baluchistan95

Anyone going?
How did it go? I’ve not seen any reports. Hope it was powerful yet peaceful.

To be honest the restrictions are just about out of the window now.
York was brilliant. Streets were teeming. Everyone good natured.
Enjoying the sunshine.
We had an early evening meal at Wagamama’s where everything was like normal.

Then we roamed the streets with other revellers stopping to listen to all the buskers.
Music is back on the streets, yayyyyy!

knittingaddict · 30/05/2021 08:04

@vickyda

Everything is a lie
Ah hyperbole, that really helps to get the message across Hmm

Well we are now free to do all the things you describe, so going to Wagamama's and listening to buskers are not exactly acts of rebellion. which begs the question: what was the Freedom march all about? As far as I can see from the coverage of it, it was a day out for the anti-vaxxers and the far right.

WhatMattersMost · 30/05/2021 10:37

@Cornettoninja

You've nailed it for me. It's the certainty of those protesting. They just know they're right, with no room for doubt - which is one of the indications of psychological fragmentation.

Baluchistan95 · 30/05/2021 11:22

Fantastic turn out yesterday. I ROFL at the gullible few on here who believed the MSM who reported that there were hundreds who attended yesterday's event, there were thousands!! I'm also amused at the number of posters on here who believe everything will return to normal on the 21st of June. Wake up, people.
