I'M AWAKE!

sunglassesonthetable · 30/05/2021 19:56

( Don't think they can hear you on the next thread. )

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr · 30/05/2021 19:58

I keep reading the words “WAKE UP, PEOPLE” but somehow when I read them all I hear is “BELLLM BELLLLLLM BELLLLLLLLLM”

Cornettoninja · 30/05/2021 20:11

“WAKe uP!1111!!!!!1!”

Change the record.

sleepwouldbenice · 30/05/2021 23:38

@Cornettoninja

“WAKe uP!1111!!!!!1!”

Change the record.

Exactly. It's almost if they're.... obsessed Smile
Moodytoosday · 31/05/2021 00:24

I saw on the news a bunch of them blocked up a shopping centre, thus preventing other people shopping, in protest about the fact that shops were closed over a month ago. The mind boggles.

gobblegobbleturkey · 31/05/2021 00:46

I am proud of the people who took the time to march on Saturday!

You're in a tiny minority. Look at the vaccination rates and opinion polls

That's all the MSM are going to show! They are not really going to report that there's a part of the society who question the cv related events, if they start telling people what the protests are about others might start to question it too.
gobblegobbleturkey · 31/05/2021 00:59

Sleepwouldbenice- I know! But isn't the public opinion influenced by MSM? People trust their government and tv screens in this country, of course that's because the government only cares about us and has our best interests in their hearts!

Tealightsandd · 31/05/2021 01:02

no no no no no no no no no no no no no no limits!

TheClaws · 31/05/2021 01:54

@Baluchistan95

WAKE UP, PEEPS. Seriously.

I'm awake. I just had my coffee. (Don't use "Peeps" unless you want to sound like a 14 year old - actually, no, not even 14 year olds say that.)

Furries · 31/05/2021 02:41

I’m awake - blasted insomnia - probably a side effect of the vaccine that is helping to save lives.

It’s getting really tiresome having “WAKE UP, PEOPLE” shouted every other post. Maybe, instead, post a comprehensive reason as to why, what, where etc. Include peer reviewed data/sources/links to show exactly what one needs to wake up to.

In the meantime, I’ve got time to fill. Am quite tempted to post 636 messages stating “BE QUIET, I’M SLEEPING” to fill up the thread!

Moodytoosday · 31/05/2021 03:15

Gobble

I’m quite adept at reading behind what the MSM say thank you very much. I question everything I’m told and use critical thinking daily without believing crazy people on youtube and social media. I know darn well what the March was about and... just no.

vera99 · 31/05/2021 08:04

Oh dear, the Government State of Fear thread has leaked out and is infecting other threads., and on a small point it should be WAKE UP SHEEPLE. I'm barely awake as the coffee has yet to kick in. Keep getting the vaccines folk so that the kids can still keep crayoning their nice rainbow pictures.

sunglassesonthetable · 31/05/2021 08:41

Well it was covered by the Daily Mail and the Guardian for a start @gobblegobbleturkey. As for if they start telling people what the protests are about others might start to question it too, well the protestors themselves seem to not agree on what they are protesting against. There seems to be a wide variation of what they are against. Vaccinations. Vaccination passports. Lockdowns. The MSM. Bill Gates. Most dangerous of all is that some of the protestors don't seem to be keen on Jewish people. Does that not worry you?

Parker231 · 31/05/2021 09:19

If the protesters can’t say what they are protesting about, no chance of them getting their message out.

Cornettoninja · 31/05/2021 09:33

I wonder how many people came across these movements and just accepted what they were told because ‘it made sense’. That doesn’t suggest people ‘waking up’, that suggests confirmation bias and a lack of drive to question information from all sides.

Alternative news sources and opinion is no more unbiased than MSM. There’s nothing special about choosing to follow ‘independent’ sources except their bias has less responsibility to answer to anyone about what they’re saying.

Again, I can accept the notion that some of the claims made are possible but as there is mountains of evidence proving why it’s not along with what I can see for myself I don’t believe they’re probable. Holding opinions and the work of others as concrete proof without being able to acknowledge that there is the slightest chance it might not be entirely correct is a problem if you truly are ‘awake’. Otherwise you’re basically drinking the kool aid.

Poorlykitten · 31/05/2021 09:40

I don’t understand what you lot are still complaining about? I’m about to go on holiday, went shopping yesterday. Visiting a museum this weekend. Having friends over tonight. I suspect you all have nothing very tangible in your lives to distract you?

Cornettoninja · 31/05/2021 09:43

@pinkearedcow ah but they’re covering the wrong bits and misrepresenting the message. Hmm

Honestly, people that far gone don’t want to hear it and have already decided that there is nothing that could possibly disprove what they’re saying. They twist the narrative so it feeds back into suppression of the ‘truth’.

Being generous, I think one of the most powerful things about these kinds of movement is that the ‘message’ itself is so mixed up that most individuals don’t actually subscribe to every part of it but to get the bit they do passionately believe in across they will accept giving up their doubts about the rest of it and adding their support in return for a platform for what they need support for. It’s a really toxic, transactional relationship, That’s why you see so many different messages at events like this one - anti-vaccine, anti-lockdown, anti-mask etc.

Why concentrate on one message when you can gain numbers by simply being ‘anti’,

vera99 · 31/05/2021 10:19

DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING.

Freedom march in Brussels
They took place all over the world except for in countries where peaceful protests lead to police brutality (which I suspect many posters here would like to see happen in the UK - thankfully we are not a police state, yet anyway)

knittingaddict · 31/05/2021 11:58

Don't be so ridiculous. I don't want a police state and fully support people's right to protest. I was fully behind the BLM marches, but the freedom march is nonsensical and has a deeply unpleasant underbelly of anti Semitism, crackpot conspiracy theories and a far right agenda. No thanks.

You suspect wrong, but you know that, don't you?
