Cummings is slagging off the government for cocking up when he cocked up himself.

mamakoukla · 26/05/2021 15:27

A shame this didn’t come to light when it would have made a difference

mamakoukla · 26/05/2021 15:27

ie I’m a bit sceptical

DuncinToffee · 26/05/2021 15:33

As expected, Cummings goes on record to say he DID hear PM made "bodies pile high" comment. He adds that the BBC's version of the quote is accurate

PM has in parliament denied this on the record

Belindabelle · 26/05/2021 15:34

Starmer must insist Johnson comes to the House today to answer this.

SpindleWhorl · 26/05/2021 15:39

@Belindabelle

Starmer must insist Johnson comes to the House today to answer this.
They've done PMQs today. Johnson laughed it off, in a shouty way.
Sirius99 · 26/05/2021 15:40

DuncinToffee
It was, he had a withdrawal agreement with the EU,

CloudPop · 26/05/2021 15:41

@Twinkie01

I think he should use the M&H line 'my truth' when asked these questions.

We'll never see the real truth I fear.

RedMarauder
Don’t forget that the whole Parliament voted to hold the referendum

Bloodyfuckit · 26/05/2021 15:49

I am cringing myself inside out. This is so horrifyingly undignified and unproductive. It's just a mud slinging show and Scummings, once again and inexplicitly is bring given a platform to rant.

IFuckedUpAlas · 26/05/2021 15:50

no, its all coming out now, what we have thought all along, we are governed by an inept shower of shit

Blossomtoes · 26/05/2021 15:50

PM has in parliament denied this on the record

Well, in the words of the immortal Mandy Rice-Davies, “He would, wouldn’t he?”

JediGnot · 26/05/2021 15:52

Not followed this at all, but my take is that there are all sort of government failings from the date covid 19 was first reported in china to today. But perhaps the biggest failing was years ago when we failed to implement proper pandemic planning procedures.

Bordois · 26/05/2021 15:52

@SpindleWhorl

Why was Carrie Symonds called Princess Nut-Nut? Is it as simple as being an insult meaning 'spoiled crazy girlfriend'??
Because, amongst all his other plus points, he's a misogynist too.
DuncinToffee · 26/05/2021 15:53

@mamakoukla

ie I’m a bit sceptical
So you should. Cummings is a liar, not just with Barnard Castle but also with the brexit claims (350m for NHS) and the unlawful porogation.

He is also protecting Gove and Sunak.

the80sweregreat · 26/05/2021 15:54

He is definitely protecting Sunak and Gove.
What is that bell ?

TheBobJog · 26/05/2021 15:54

WHAT IS THAT BLOODY BELL??

the80sweregreat · 26/05/2021 15:55

It's the division bell apparently!
Very apt it seems

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 26/05/2021 15:55

Division bell. Quite annoying though.

TheBobJog · 26/05/2021 15:56

Does it have to go on that fricken long?

NotTerfNorCis · 26/05/2021 15:57

Seems he u-turned on Brexit as well. What is with this guy?

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-latest-news-vote-leave-director-dominic-cummings-leave-eu-error-nhs-ps350-million-lie-bus-advert-a7822386.html

One of the masterminds behind the Brexit vote has performed an astonishing U-turn by admitting that leaving the EU may be “an error”.

Dominic Cummings, the Vote Leave campaign director, described the referendum as a “dumb idea” before other ideas had been tried to win back powers from Brussels. He has also warned that Brexit is shaping up to be a “guaranteed debacle”, without big changes in Whitehall to deliver a successful negotiation.

Zzelda · 26/05/2021 15:57

@Girlmama3

I don't understand the point. We all know they acted too late but it was over a year ago. Surely we need to move on and leave it in the past?
Absolutely not. Johnson and his mates are responsible for thousands of deaths, to say nothing of the lives ruined by long covid etc. Why on earth would we just forget about it?

Would you say "We all know Shipman murdered loads of his patients but it was well over a year ago, surely we need to move on and leave it in the past?"

Confusedandshaken · 26/05/2021 15:58

Everyone knows that this government will break any rule and ignore any poor behaviour that suits them. The corruption comes from the top. There has been zero comeback from the law or the electorate so far. I'm sure this won't be any different.

SpindleWhorl · 26/05/2021 15:58

It's like the Line of Duty beeeeep.
