He sounds very credible. Much more together than he was in the rose garden last May.
Carrie Simmons and Matt Hancock have not come out of this well at all. Obviously a lot of history there.
The PM's advisors will be very busy tonight I'm sure.

Well he has had a whole year to rehearse

I think the fact that we had 10 years of austerity prior followed by a utterly unexpected Brexit result, followed by T May's unsuccessful reign due, imv, to no Tory wanting to sort Brexit, followed by an imv reluctant Boris who'd dumped his wife and family and was getting together with his latest, who turned out to be pregnant and we had the birth etc, followed by Boris getting Covid - I mean I don't think anyone could plan for all of that and I don't think any other country had half those problems and issues, certainly none had a Brexit scenario.

Not making excuses just balancing the Cummings Whingefest. Also no mention of all those things on Radio 4 TWAO - they get more like the Daily Mail with their screaming headlines every day.

Don't you think he's rambling a bit? it's all a bit 'I think this but I don't remember that' They need real legal teams to host these things imo and tell them to get to the point and answer the question. Briefly.

Not sure he’s said much of anything, although some of it was interesting - SAGE stuff - but that wasn’t damning, the opposite I reckon

He needs some gaviscom seemed to have an excess of wind always swallowing down burps..

He seems to forget many things but remembers dates very well. It is a bit inconsistent at times.

Yes. Maybe it's just the intro and more is to come but hours of his musings was a bit of a damp squib imo.

Cummings doesn’t seem to have much to do with the whole vaccine task force decision making etc? Haven’t heard him mention it yet and I’m sure he would if he was a key decision maker. That might be annoying him too. He’s being blamed for a late lockdown, breaking the rules etc but can’t get any credit for the vaccines to balance it out a bit yet he’s watching Hancock bask in the vaccine glory and it’s pissing him off!
To me it seems mainly reputation repair and point scoring going on today

He did say that Sir Patrick Vallance had idea for separate vaccine taskforce - and should be credited for it.
