Yet more chat about novavax, (un)blinding, general vaccine passport stress, approval (please please please) and more.
Those involved in other vaccine trials also welcome.

@coffeeandchoc

Think the nhs app is different to my gp.
Mine is called “NHS app”. It may not actually matter but I believe the NHS app is the one we will need for travel etc. Others have def managed to get theirs showing on my gp though. I have heard of others saying that they just put one set of dates in that doesn’t necessarily mean anything just that they have to put in one or the other. Though I think it would make more sense to put in the later “pair” as that would the the latest you had it.

Thank you @Frazzled2207 I hadn't realised that there was another app.

Not planning on travelling anytime soon, so not a problem there. I was just intrigued if the date meant anything, but yes you are probably right that they have just put one set of dates in.

Cookerhood · 06/06/2021 21:43

At the ComCov2 centre they told me that the GP would have to put the information on (I can't imagine mine ever responding to requests for that) but that they were trying to find a way for the study staff to do it. And yes, the NHS App (as opposed to the NHS Covid app) is the one you would need for travel.

Dreamer1989 · 08/06/2021 12:24

Rang my doctors last week to request they stop contacting me to have the jab, esp as I have given them the certificate. Anddd I got another text this morning…waste of their time!

Cookerhood · 08/06/2021 12:52

I've had the NHS write to me to say that I need my second vaccine, and texts from the GP!

andadietcoke · 08/06/2021 13:36

Back to daily checking of the app in case they've got their act together yet!

JustMeAndWheatley · 08/06/2021 13:42

Near daily texts from my GP trying to get me to book a vaccine. They've taken it up a gear today telling me that I’m putting my friends and family at risk by not booking one!

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 08/06/2021 14:35

Klaxon to fellow investors- Novavax shares opened at $200 today!

andadietcoke · 08/06/2021 15:50

I've only had two texts and two letters so far. Feel neglected Grin

I’ve had 5 letters and I’ve actually lost count of the texts. Most days since April. Usually they tell me that there’s availability that day at a particular centre in Mansfield or Coventry, neither of which are anywhere near me.

It might be different in Englsnd. In Scotland I was told the study site will enter our data.
Dreamer1989 · 09/06/2021 14:28

Another letter today :p I feel terrible, but I cannot convince anyone Ive had the damn jab. Ive got my certificate dammit!

Who are you trying to convince?

I’m getting a bit tetchy as nihr promised an update this week.

Meanwhile I’m also tetchy because France
Seem to have confirmed that they won’t let us in with novavax. I think unlikely to go in august anyway now due to the recent portugal debacle but it pretty much stinks if that really remains the case.

The NHS! I get daily texts, weekly letters. Im just massively pissed off as I really worried whats going to happen with these fucking covid passports

ItsSnowJokes · 10/06/2021 09:11

Has anyone got ongoing pain where the injection site was? Mine is on and off in my right arm and it is exactly where the injection was (2nd crossover). It hurt so much when was injected and it has never gone away permanently. Every few days it starts aching again.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 10/06/2021 14:12

I’ve just had a phonecall from NHS England asking me to take part in a survey about my reasons for not taking up the offer of a vaccine. I explained that I have been vaccinated as part of a trial and he said they have no record of that and he hasn’t heard of it Hmm. Anyone else been called?

QueenAnnesHat · 10/06/2021 15:50

@JosephineDeBeauharnais Yes, I had one of those calls a few weeks ago. The guy that called me had also not heard of the Novavax vaccine. He told me that he couldn't see my NHS record to see what was recorded there, but would enter the information that I had been part of a trial, which, he assured me, would stop all the text messages - it hasn't.

Vargas · 10/06/2021 17:12

I had one text and one letter ages ago, nothing since. But my surgery have confirmed that my medical records are updated with the trial info so I assume that's why I'm not getting chased.

Maybe it's worth checking that your GP's records are correct?

2 days left of week commencing 7th June. Not a sausage. Why am I not surprised.

Frazzled2207 · 10/06/2021 18:39

1 day now.

For Janssen people I noticed there is an update on the NIHR website which is something.

I was on the Janssen trial and this is now licensed. Why doesn’t this show on the NHS app?

The NHS data teams are working on this now. There is no question that it will be pulled through, and we are sorry that we cannot confirm a timescale as yet.

I got a call from NHS about my 'not being vaccinated' a few days ago. When they mentioned Covid vaccine, I interrupted the caller to say that I was on Novavax clinical trial. (I was having my lunch and wanted to come off the phone as quickly as possible.) She thanked me for participating in such trials, and took basic information. I assumed NHS was calling and trying to persuade people to take up vaccines, and didn't realise it was a survey. Later on I was wondering if I should have ranted about all these issues we face, and somehow my frustration could reach someone somewhere...

Ragdoll4 · 10/06/2021 20:21

Yes, I was being generous, re 2 days left. 1 working day.
