Well not exactly going mad but I sense a trip to the cinema on the cards and a sneaky wagamamas and maybe a swift half.

Got to make the most of our freedom.
At least if it rains we can get inside.

I wonder if the pubs will have some music on.
I have missed that so much.

Visiting family next weekend - restaurant booked for Saturday night.
Just had an invitation to dinner for next Tuesday. Inside! Oh the luxury Grin

Onedaysomedaynowadays · 17/05/2021 08:35

Already had coffee at my favourite cafe this morning and SAT INSIDE!

DumplingsAndStew · 17/05/2021 08:38

Wah, have you not been able to have a coffee indoors yet? We've just not been able to have alcohol indoors.

Nothing new for me this week, but am tempted to a cinema trip for DC birthday in a couple of weeks

Shergill15 · 17/05/2021 08:50

Working all week so nothing mad here. But thinking of taking DD (6) for lunch and to cinema/shopping in half term. I've been quite unwell the last few weeks (not Covid thankfully) and she's been so good so think she deserves a treat. Maybe an indoor coffee with a friend if we can match up the diaries. Enjoy yourselves all those out and about today Smile

Wotrewelookinat · 17/05/2021 08:52

I’m working today, but desperate to actually sit in a coffee shop with a good book. Life on the edge!

m0therofdragons · 17/05/2021 08:57

I’ve got a friend coming over one evening this week inside the house and I’ve booked Sunday lunch out. Not really going crazy but cautiously enjoying the new rules.

Figgygal · 17/05/2021 09:03

Nothings changing for me really

Continuing to work from home doing school runs taking the kids to their activities
We don’t have help with childcare to go and do things as a couple and I expect all of pubs restaurants cafés will be rammed All weekend which doesn’t particularly make me wanna rush back

I would run a mile if anybody tried to hug me as I do not understand this countries obsession with hugging people.

It’s just another day here

CrunchyCarrot · 17/05/2021 09:03

No I won't be - because I'm housebound anyway, but I wish the rest of you a great day - have fun and I hope the weather stays good! Wine Cake GinGlitterball

RedcurrantPuff · 17/05/2021 09:04

Scotland has had indoor hospitality open for weeks. albeit no alcohol until today

Enjoy

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 17/05/2021 09:10

Got coffees and a meal booked in for this week and a very good friend is coming to stay for the weekend - I haven’t seen her for 18 months! Going to have a couple of mates round for a Eurovision party!

Lemmen · 17/05/2021 09:42

@figgygal likewise. I especially don't understand the "I am desperate to hug my friend and will just die of despair if I don't get to" posts which appear occasionally. They make me feel super uncomfortable for some reason. (Which I appreciate is my issue, not theirs! Grin)

babyt2020 · 17/05/2021 09:52

Looking forward to seeing spiral at the cinema at weekend and then to mowghlis for some delicious Indian food! Our first 'date' in forever!

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 17/05/2021 10:00

Nothing this week really, well I've got my first jab later today.

My Mum is planning to come down half term week. The children only saw her once last year, in September (I saw her in the February but prior to that it was mid December 2019). Usually we meet up every six weeks or so. We've not always been close but she's the only parent I have left & I really want my dc to have a relationship with her as they've only got her & dh's Dad. We're having a bbq (or sausage baps if the weather doesn't play ball) for dc2's 10th birthday the first weekend of half term too, only us, my best friend (who we're in a bubble with as she's a lone parent) & my Aunt & Uncle but it feels dead exciting!

pintsizeprincess · 17/05/2021 10:01

I had my 2nd vaccine yesterday so would rather be a bit more cautious until that kicks in . However planning on taking the kids to softplay and cinema over May half term.

RumHoney · 17/05/2021 10:38

Not today, but we are going on holiday to the peak district later this week and we will be eating inside pubs/cafes. Just in our own household, and not meeting up with other people, but inside where it is dry and warm (if it's nice enough to sit outside we will, but I've looked at the forecast...)

And on the way home we will stay the night with oh's parents

MrsWarleggan · 17/05/2021 10:50

I'm just about to take me 21 month for her first ever soft play session!! 😁😁😁

MrsWarleggan · 17/05/2021 10:50

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 17/05/2021 11:25

@MrsWarleggan aww that’s lovely! She is going to lose her shit when she sees it Grin

shewalkslikerihanna · 17/05/2021 11:32

@Thunderpunt

Opening our restaurant this lunchtime and looking forward to welcoming customers inside. On the one hand can't wait, on the other dreading how my old legs are going to cope with working full time againGrinGrin but who cares.... we can open finally!
I hope it goes really well I’ve really felt for all the independent restaurant owners Hope you get lots of lovely diners today

We got 4 days in the lakes at Center parcs when they reopened in April It was magic and the weather was great. Really gave us a boost and I was nearly in tears the day we left. Hope it’s good for you too

Holding off for now, will stick with outside things, only because at 32 my husband shouldn't be too far off getting his vaccine and we'd hate for him to catch it and delay getting the jab.
I've had both doses so just waiting on him to have at least had his first plus the time for it to kick in

VoyageInTheDark · 17/05/2021 14:29

I've been to my parents' house for a cuppa with DD (3). She was so excited to go inside Nanny's house instead of just the garden!

Hoping to go out for a meal sometime this week too.

shewalkslikerihanna · 18/05/2021 12:16

Well despite not planning on going too mad and despite feeling tired and a bit fragile ended up doing just that

Met some party animals ( friends I’d met through Mnet 👍) in a pub in a market town.
Bloody great afternoon especially as raining so great to be indoors
Finished with a lovely meal with them in a fab old coaching inn restaurant

Everything so Impromptu and was just great
