Well not exactly going mad but I sense a trip to the cinema on the cards and a sneaky wagamamas and maybe a swift half.

Got to make the most of our freedom.
At least if it rains we can get inside.

I wonder if the pubs will have some music on.
I have missed that so much.

I'm happy to sit outside anyway most of the time, and it's still recommended to do so, so I don't see a lot changing for me.

It will be nice to have indoor option for when the weather's horrible but I'll still be being careful.

AdaThorne · 17/05/2021 07:16

DH and I are going for a fry up after the school run. It doesn’t sound like much but we are both giddy!

99victoria · 17/05/2021 07:18

Out for a chinese with some girlfriends Thursday evening, up to London to the theatre on Saturday and a family birthday party on Sunday :)

Slayduggee · 17/05/2021 07:25

Meeting up with a pregnant friend outside for a coffee. Having a bbq at the weekend of I stops bloody raining!

QuarantineQueen · 17/05/2021 07:26

I'm planning to give my best friend a massive hug. We are teachers so the Head will be furious if we then have to isolate and count as close contacts but I'm past caring.

Sparklingbrook · 17/05/2021 07:26

I'm off to work. need to quickly fashion my 'stay back' sign in case there's any mad huggy types about.

I'm another that's happy to stay outside for a while longer when it comes to having a coffee etc.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 17/05/2021 07:26

Working all day, so doubtful I'll be out on the razz. Thinking I might go for lunch and shopping in town tomorrow though.

Tiktokersmiracle · 17/05/2021 07:29

I'm one of these mad ones who did indeed go to my local pub and sat in the garden in the rain
So yes indeed I will be sitting in the pub.
I had my second dose Saturday so I know within a fortnight I'm far more safer than I was in January

I do wish we would bring back personal risk and responsibility. Sod all this not unlocking 21st June, people ill with it have refused vaccines as is their right and that's their responsibility.

JustMeAndWheatley · 17/05/2021 07:30

Just another boring Monday here. I’d happily do something but all my friends are ultra cautious. In fairness, most of them have only had one vaccine not two.

LemonCake79 · 17/05/2021 07:30

Totally wild here... 9 yo DD is having her friend over for dinner after school. Can't wait for them to be able to enjoy themselves without me hanging around in the background of a wet park etc.

PomRuns · 17/05/2021 07:33

Drinks with work friends on Thursday, dinner with friend on Friday and family cinema and lunch on Sunday. Very excited about Sunday in particular.

BoomChicka · 17/05/2021 07:33

Yep my calendar is booking up! A few weekends away in England and Scotland, plenty of meals, dd is going for a sleepover at her friends this weekend, she doesn't know what else to book first - I think she's a bit overwhelmed by choice now!

We aren't vaccinated yet, but unless we go down the US route and let vaccinated people ditch masks then I'm in no rush, I'll be even more grumpy wearing one with my foggy glasses when I'm vaccinated.

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 17/05/2021 07:38

The in-laws are coming to stay for 3 daysShock... I am playing this all wrong Wink

Alfaix · 17/05/2021 07:40

We’re self isolating because DS and I have Covid. Despite being vaccinated.
Don’t feel too bad though.
Making plans for half term. Nothing crazy but maybe a meal out.

AnxiousAlpaca · 17/05/2021 07:46

Tea and cake at my favourite cafe on Friday
Cinema on Saturday
Seeing my parents
Grin

MrsJBaptiste · 17/05/2021 07:50

We've been out all weekend (in the rain! ☔) so I need a few days off the wine this week. Plus everywhere I've tried to book for the next two weeks has been fully booked...

I did have my sister, BIL and nephews round yesterday in the house and we hugged 😀 12 hours early but who's counting?

starfish4 · 17/05/2021 08:00

It's my Mum's birthday in the week, so a meal out. My Mum and DD are both very conscious about the fact DD isn't vaccinated yet (DD doesn't want to pass it to Granny even though it shouldn't make her too ill, Mum wants DD to have some protection for herself). Hopefully they can relax.

StCharlotte · 17/05/2021 08:04

I'm saving myself until Friday when my best friend is coming to stay. We haven't seen each other since last summer and only once then.

We will hug until it hurts Smile

Butterbeers · 17/05/2021 08:11

No, I won’t be rushing back to cafe, cinema, whatever just because I can. Carrying on as normal, and will be reintroducing as and when

Abraxan · 17/05/2021 08:11

I'm not going mad but due to some pre booked things from weeks/months ago we have a few things on in the next couple of weeks.

Meal with two friends this evening, indoors at restaurant tonight.

Meal with MIL (in support bubble) at pub, indoors tomorrow.

Weekend trip to London for me and Dh this weekend, travelling my train, staying in hotel and a meal booked indoors.

Half term: week away in Scotland, flying there and back, hiring car and staying in hotels.

Dh and I are both fully vaccinated. I've had Covid a few months back. On the trips away we won't be socialising with others. We are also happy to wear masks etc.

StCharlotte · 17/05/2021 08:12

@Glitterblue

Tomorrow is my birthday so I will finally be going to see my parents for the first time since Christmas Day, also my very pregnant best friend is coming for a cup of tea - can't wait to see her!
Happy birthday for tomorrow!

DH's birthday is on National Licking Day (21st June). He's beside himself Grin

(Fingers crossed it still happens)

anon12345678901 · 17/05/2021 08:13

Not tonight as I have the usual kids activity, but this weekend I'm heading out to HP world, a cinema trip booked and then next weekend I have a few meals out booked. I'm so excited to have a bit more normality and hug my friends again! Grin

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr · 17/05/2021 08:16

a blissful nothing at all

Abraxan · 17/05/2021 08:16

My 19y is already on a train travelling to visit a friend in Wales for a few days. The timing fell very lucky for her as she thought initially she'd have to cancel. She was buzzing just to be able to go and do something as normal as visit her friend at university when we spoke yesterday.

Her best friend is on a year out in Spain and I'm tempted to book her a cheap flight and accommodation in Portugal (friends nearest airport) for them to meet up in Porto - friend is allowed to go there and gets there easily from where she is living in the border. They'd had all manner of plans when friend originally planned it and none had come to fruition obviously. I'm so tempted to treat her (and friend) to a long weekend visit in the next month.

SpnBaby1967 · 17/05/2021 08:24

Midway through buying a house so too skint to do anything as every spare penny is going towards fees.

But were that not the case you can bet your arse I'd be out doing EVERYTHING!
