Moderna - guys centre 1

Hi - I’m booked for my vaccine at guys centre 1 and just wondered if anyone knew if it was still doing moderna as at today? (I saw someone on another thread say AFC Wimbledon was now using AZ through supply issues)

Another update, just had my Pfizer I centre 2, it’s Pfizer for all here today (but yes I’m just over 40). Centre 1 is moderna for all today. 😊

Sorry to panic everyone - looks like the switch was made because both might be Pfizer/Moderna then, rather than because DH is over 40 and hence 'should' have AZ.

My OH is on the way to atrium at Guy's today. Guess he'll be having AZ. He's not oblivious to the clot risk but he doesn't seem to care!

Thank you everyone! Just had my P. vacc in vacc center 2 at st. thomas. I was late an hour, but everything was so slow that it wasn't an issue.
vacc center 1 is Astrazeneca

Just an update - had pfizer today at Guy’s centre 2 😄

So Guy's Centre 2 may not be AZ-only anymore? I;m a bit confused with all the different centres now.

DH and I have both had appointments at Guys today...booked online last night. Pfizer at centre 2 and Moderna at centre 1.

Please could anyone tell me how long it took, from the time you entered the building to leaving, and the time you went?

I went on Monday. Got there about 10 mins early for my appointment, which was 6.25. Booked in and had to sit outside for 10/15 mins until there was a seat available inside. Was jabbed at 7.05, then had to wait 15 minutes before I left. That was centre 1. So an hour all in.

Mine was late morning yesterday. Arrived 40 mins early and walked right in. Was the only person on a chair so waited 3? mins then had the jab and did the 15 mins observation after. It ebbs and flows but I guess 45 min to 1 hr realistic?

Anyone know what they were giving out today?

On friday it was still Moderna. DH was there.

I went at 11.45 on Wednesday and it was straight into room 4 for vaccination - DH went at 12.45 and had 30 min wait on Friday. Think lunchtimes may be busier.

arrived 9:42am , waited at the seat for few minutes then went in the room for jab and 15 minutes wait outside. Leave at 10:06am. Quick and efficient at Guy’s centre 2.

It's Moderna at Guy's centre 1 today

My appointment was at 4.05pm on Monday and I was out by 4.30pm (centre 1). I arrived on the dot and there was no queue at all so I went straight in. Ended up waiting 5 mins because it was so quiet they were trying to use up the vial with the earliest expiry time and were sending everyone to the same vaccinator.

There were some people in the post vaccine waiting area who didn't have an appointment but had been offered a vaccine because they had spare shots to use up. Not sure if they had been diverted from one of the other centres, had been accompanying someone who had an appointment or had just been dragged in off the street

Anyone knows what Guys giving out this week at center 1/ 2?

It was Pfizer at Guys 2 today.

It was Moderna at centre #1 Monday.
