Moderna - guys centre 1

Hi - I’m booked for my vaccine at guys centre 1 and just wondered if anyone knew if it was still doing moderna as at today? (I saw someone on another thread say AFC Wimbledon was now using AZ through supply issues)

Booked in around 10 days ago. Via main booking site.
When is the appointment? I only booked in on Tuesday, will quite likely get bumped off too then.

@LondonAnnie I got Pfizer at Guys Centre 1 today. The vaccinator said that they would almost always have Moderna and Pfizer for first doses at Centre 1. There was a bit of a queue, waited about 20mins

How are they going to make Pfizer and Moderna more widely available for the under 40s? Surely they're not going to have them all going to a few select centres?

To make people feel better - I think they might be changing guys centre 2 to Pfizer too as we rebooked our second jabs (had Pfizer at centre 1 last week) and they’ve booked us into Centre 2 (and in less than 4 weeks time)

I have my first next Thursday and automatically booked the second vaccination for the last week of July. I hope so dearly for Phizer/BioNTech!

cheesecake53 - yes, I originally had a second appointment in July but it was a Thursday and wanted to see if there was a weekend available so cancelled and rebooked the 2nd appt after we had the first jab and got Saturday 29 may

@DisneyMillie when you cancelled did you get a text? I had the first dose today and went in to double check the date for the 2nd and it tried to make me book the first again. I'm worried the second is cancelled now from me going in before the system updated with the first 🤦‍♀️

I haven’t had a text confirming cancellation or rebooking yet - sorry - I only did it yesterday and they often take a while to come through. You could try going into manage your appointments again and checking now it’s had more time to register your first?

Quick update - just arrived at centre 1 for my jab and I’ve been moved to centre 2 - its Pfizer at centre 2 today 😁
