Moderna - guys centre 1

Hi - I’m booked for my vaccine at guys centre 1 and just wondered if anyone knew if it was still doing moderna as at today? (I saw someone on another thread say AFC Wimbledon was now using AZ through supply issues)

So...my vaccinator told me that this site is almost always Pfizer and Moderna. Very occasionally AZ so he can’t promise anything but you’re very likely to get one of the other two here. And it’s the same vaccine all day for everyone.

I was vaccinated by a member of British airways cabin crew - didn’t feel a thing!

I just got mine- Pfizer - as with above vaccinator implied it normally was in centre 1 - so pleased to be vaccinated - would have taken AZ if it had been but glad it was Pfizer

I also had Pfizer there today. The queue was quite long, I wasn't jabbed until about an hour after my booked appointment time. There was no queue at centre 2 which is doing AZ. The vaccinator told me that they've had a lot of people turning up at centre 2, refusing AZ and then rebooking at centre 1, which is why they're so busy.... although she then contradicted herself by saying that they would only be allowed to do that if they met strict clinical criteria.

I booked at Centre 1 only last night, I think I got lucky that there was one apt slot left.

It was very busy and I did have to wait. I also noticed that Centre 2 was virtually deserted. Clearly word has spread!

wow that was lucky !! the issue with the booking system is that you have to cancel an existing appointment. I don't want to cancel and try for tomorrow and find out I even lose my next week's appointment !

I am booked for next Wednesday, I hope it's still a pfizer day.

Anyone going on Monday or tuesday, please do update

Wonder if they are offering AZ to those who are 40 plus and Moderna/Pfizer to under 40?

I’m over 40 and they were only doing Pfizer at centre 1 yesterday according to the vaccinator that did me - centre 2 was doing AZ.

That tweeter is tweeting rubbish cheesecake53 everybody at Guys Centre 1 got Pfizer yesterday. I specifically asked that. I am over 40 and I got Pfizer. Centre 2 - which is right next door was doing AZ. Maybe they were confused with which site they were at. My vaccinator said in all the time he’s been working there it’s only ever been Pfizer and Moderna but that they did very occasionally have AZ when supplies were low. Given the size of the queue he had plenty of time to chat!

An FYI - DP was booked into Guys 1 but has now had a text to change to Guys 2 (he is over 40). So they may be changing over 40s even if you book centre 1.

When was he booked in? That's certainly odd, they must be getting overbooked. Mine is on wednesday, I hope i don't get this dreaded text soon.
