I'm 42 in West Yorkshire and had my text from GP this morning. I'm going this Saturday. I'm thrilled!

My GP surgery is in Lewisham which is part of Lewisham & Greenwich health trust. Lewisham normally does things before Greenwich with Greenwich eventually following.

Thank you so much! I’ve tried Downham Leisure Centre a few times for spares and have always missed out and they are currently saying no to non residents. Have heard good things about Lewisham as a borough. My nearest vaccination centre is currently closed, as are a few dotted about in Greenwich. All seems strange considering the current late 40s rollout.

SW news yesterday (not sure whether that's Dorset as well tho they spoke about the landslide ) mentioned only bristol and Plymouth using it

@EasterIssland Thanks, I thought as much. I think our big hub in Bournemouth has closed. There's a history of blood clots in my family though, don't know what to do. I'll probably risk AZ anyway.

tulips27 as far as I know I don't think anywhere in Dorset has the Moderna. South Today on the BBC, said that the only place offering it in the region, was Reading.

@ChloeDecker i was also recommended Downham leisure centre !!! shame they aren't accepting non residents. I've been recommended to try Bromley Civic centre too but there is no number. I don't know if it's worth it trekking down.

How about Islington business centre where a poster got moderna? Surely they must do spares?

Checking into this thread! I'm 43 with no underlying conditions but I do have horrible health anxiety, so have been terrified of covid (mostly surrounding a fear of long covid). I've hid away since last March and am desperate for the vaccine so I can start to dip my toe back into some kind of normality.

Hoping that by the end of this thread I will have an appointment at least!

freeez me too. Desperate to get vaccinated. All my friends seem to have got vaccinated in Feb and are now having second vaccinations. I’m the last to be done.

I suppose I do cling on to the fact that a lot of my colleagues have been vaccinated now, including many 20 somethings as they are on lists to offer respite for children with additional needs, many of the children are at our school.

They've not been running respite since august.

So a lot of people I personally interact with are vaccinated.

(I've puzzled over why therefore the sen staff weren't vaccinated too. But we weren't on 'the list.')

Update on Moderna.

I had a slight muzzy head yesterday afternoon and felt very tired yesterday evening, but pleasantly tired as in I just wanted to lie back on a comfy sofa and non off, not exhausted tired.

I had an uncomfortable nights sleep due to me realising I usually sleep on my left arm which is incredibly tender. Slight muzzy head again this morning but no different to when I have a broken nights sleep.

I know only 21 places in England have it - I would doubt anywhere else in Devon would have it. Only alternative will be Bristol (not sure which site)

I had the AZ on Wednesday and no side effects at all, arm slightly tender if I press it but nothing else.

Ashton Gate in Bristol has Moderna, but 119 won’t guarantee it is there the day you go.

I booked on Tuesday morning and my appointment was yesterday. Luckily I still had the screen open so took a screen shot.
