Follow-on to the happy thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4210673-Can-the-40-49-age-group-now-book-their-vaccine.

(I'm jabbed, but just here to read happy news of jabs and try to book DH when it's his time.)

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 22/04/2021 22:26

Yay! My DH is May 1977 and just booked too!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 22/04/2021 22:28

Born 1978 and have been able to book for tomorrow 😀

Oligodoodle · 22/04/2021 22:28

43, 1977, says not eligible. Why can some book but not others?

ChloeDecker · 22/04/2021 22:31

Was going to say the same thing Oligodoodle!

I guess it is some areas have more unused capacity than others.

Oh idea.. how about trying and after the bit where you put the postcode you live at and you put the postcode for where you will have vaccine trying a different postcode. Eg try a central London postcode as there seems capacity at the London hubs. I’m interested to hear if that works!

Oligodoodle · 22/04/2021 22:56

I don’t get that option - I put my home postcode in and then next screen is the not eligible page.

Bakingboy · 22/04/2021 23:05

My wife has just booked (June 77) but I'm not yet eligible (August 77). Will try again in a few minutes...

EasterIssland · 22/04/2021 23:06

If I put a different postcode then it says they can’t find my dh.

Method · 22/04/2021 23:16

oooh thanks, I might wait a bit longer before going to bed lol
freeez · 22/04/2021 23:18

People who have been successful booking - was it with details or NHS number? Did you have to clear cookies between tries? I'm trying all ways but still ineligible

ProfessorPootle · 22/04/2021 23:35

Booked London for Monday, birth date June 76. DH is Feb 1979 and not eligible

Archiduchesse · 22/04/2021 23:38

@freeez Didn't clear cookies and did it without NHS number.

wonderstuff · 22/04/2021 23:40

Just booked dh, July 76. Thanks for heads up.
I'm May 79, can't be long now..

freeez · 22/04/2021 23:44

Thanks Archi.

Feeling so impatient now! I'd like to get on before they announce it officially and the site crashes!

TeddingtonSchools · 22/04/2021 23:45

My brother (Jan 1979) was able to book his last week in Elmbridge, but my husband (Feb 1977) was only able to book this afternoon (Richmond), so it does seem to really vary borough by borough.

We just used details rather than NHS number. We tried this morning for my DH and it said not eligible but around 5pm we checked again on the off chance and were able to book :) Didn't clear cookies between tries..
WarriorN · 23/04/2021 06:28

Great thread!

Also just realised we could chat about "the good old days n stuff.... "Grin

Were you oasis or blur?

Hands up who did glasto before the wall and mobile phones, with the mud?!

WarriorN · 23/04/2021 06:30

I'm thinking it might be a week a year and they know people are trying daily So areas that are actually ready to go are just going ahead.

There must be a few areas not yet ready hence not being able to officially.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 23/04/2021 06:43

Just checked this morning because of this thread, born Feb 78, not eligible.

Although I'm quite impressed that I managed to remember where I'd put my NHS number!

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2021 06:44

I'm Nov 76 and booked late last night to have mine today (I'm in Sefton, but crossing into West Lancs to have it).

MRex · 23/04/2021 06:46

Age 40 still not eligible.

Blur before Oasis. More importantly:
Nirvana (poor Kurt).
Portishead and Tricky releasing the same song (Ike's Rap II), which doesn't look as controversial on the internet as I remember it being at the time with who-sampled-first arguments.
