As expected the government are announcing a milestone of vaccinating all priority groups earlier than advertised.

Except it's a lie Angry

My ds is group 6 and has been told he won't be offered his first dose until at least the beginning of May because they surgery have been told they must prioritise second doses over the first ones (fair enough) and they don't have enough to do BOTH.

SO Boris - would you like you explain why you say this. Why you out vulnerable people at risk by telling the non vulnerable to go out and about thinking they aren't putting others at risk?

The vaccine programme HAS been amazing. But you haven't offered all those in priority groups a vaccine.

@Cornettoninja

Ah that’s a shame- unless you’re prepared to chase her on Twitter? MP’s seem to respond to a public tweet...
That's true but I'm not on Twitter. Plus under my contract as a civil servant we mustn't engage in any public political stuff until after election as it can be seen to be supporting or trying to critique a political party!

But ooohhhhhhh - how I've been itching to make a comment on the FB page when she goes on about how wonderful Boris and the conservatives are for doing ......

@itsgettingwierd
Do you want me to fill in the "ask a question" form on the BBC website?

I honestly don't mind

There are 1st dose Pfizer vaccines available for group 6 people aged 16 to 29. There are always excess doses in the 2nd dose supply that are used for this purpose and more can be ordered if this is not enough. There is no reason for the GP to say what he did.

Don’t bother with MPs and ministers. Just contact the local health board or CCG who will link you up with a supply.

The reason the government announced all 1-9 had been offered vaccines is that all GPs confirmed this was the case. This will include the OPs GP. It’s not the governments fault the GP misinformed them.
