Anyone had AZ and NOT had it affect their period?

I’m hoping all the stories on the net are confirmation bias because people want to share their experiences rather than that this is the most common outcome. So... if you had AZ and then a normal, reasonably on time period, please post!

I had mine just after my period. Should be ovulating now and think I am but hard to know as I’m usually quite perky around ovulation but being in the severe grip of anxiety is stepping on my desire to jump on DH.

I'm 34, I've had both jabs as CEV and my periods have been my usual 28 day cycle before, during and after.

Hdiebfhs · 24/04/2021 01:25

No idea. 47 and haven't had a period for 6 years.

Blubellwood · 24/04/2021 01:46

It had no effect on periods for me. I was quite ill but no effect to the cycle.

FlipFlapFlop1980 · 24/04/2021 01:53

I had the vaccine and had my first period in 6 months about 2-3 weeks after.

TransplantedScouser · 24/04/2021 05:03

Me

Poppie363 · 24/04/2021 06:54

Mine was normal

Thatwentbadly · 24/04/2021 06:58

Normal here too.

GappyValley · 24/04/2021 07:06

It affected mine BIG time
Had my jab on 19th March, got a BFP on 16th April, after 5 failed IVF cycles

tinytemper66 · 24/04/2021 07:15

I had my AZ and my period came when expected. I am 54 (nearly 55) and still getting periods. The days are getting shorter between them by 1 or 2 a month. So basically the AZ jab didn't seem to affect mine. But when will they stop!!!???

melaniepond · 24/04/2021 10:40

Mine was exactly on time a week after my first jab and has been ever since.

Realitea · 24/04/2021 15:52

Normal for me

BigWoollyJumpers · 24/04/2021 16:39

Normal, dead on time, same as usual.

Wow! Amazing 🤩
tenlittlecygnets · 29/04/2021 23:02

How can a vaccine affect periods?? It didn't affect mine.

ClingFilmAndGafferTape · 30/04/2021 00:04

I'm perimenopausal and have longer cycles or missed periods for a couple of months. First AZ jab this week, a week before my period should be due. Within a couple of hours I'd had a "gush" of blood and gunk and have been bleeding brown end-of-period since. This is very unusual, hasn't happened before, and I can't believe it's not connected. But maybe it isn't. Who knows?

Wilkolampshade · 30/04/2021 17:48

Everything normal here...

ProfYaffle · 30/04/2021 17:52

Normal here too.

Bubalie · 30/04/2021 19:02

My period was couple of days late, that’s all. But that could have been because I think I’m peri menopausal

Tatum1234 · 30/04/2021 19:06

Yes all fine.

Canyouexplainhowthatis · 30/04/2021 19:12

If it was affecting every woman then it’d be a known, official side effect by now. I don’t know anyone in real life whose been affected in this way but online I’ve read of both Pfizer and AZ causing menstrual changes.

Mine hasn’t changed, maybe a bit heavier than the last few months but it could have been as heavy last year without me remembering.

EasterIssland · 01/05/2021 07:06

@Canyouexplainhowthatis there is actually some research around the world about it
