Anyone had AZ and NOT had it affect their period?

I’m hoping all the stories on the net are confirmation bias because people want to share their experiences rather than that this is the most common outcome. So... if you had AZ and then a normal, reasonably on time period, please post!

I had mine just after my period. Should be ovulating now and think I am but hard to know as I’m usually quite perky around ovulation but being in the severe grip of anxiety is stepping on my desire to jump on DH.

TheMawisbraw · 01/04/2021 00:57

Had mine yesterday on the first day of my period, normal period so far, spiked a high temp last night and have felt very unwell the fever only just broke, now awake with horrendous back pain I was putting that down to spending the day on my sofa but it does feel a bit crampy

hahaboink · 01/04/2021 03:49

Normal here!

Sansaplans · 01/04/2021 03:53

Yes mine have been fine, I didn't realise this was a 'thing'.

CovoidOfAllHumanity · 01/04/2021 04:00

Not exactly what you were looking for but sort of reverse proof:

I was in the AZ trial and I missed a period for the first time ever after having my first trial vaccine. I reported it as an adverse event.

However when the trial was unblinded it turned out I'd had the placebo so it must therefore have been nothing to do with the vaccine. I guess the fact I am 45 and was under an incredible level of stress at the time were more relevant factors.

This is why trial data is more useful than just reports because the blinding allows you to sort out what is a chance association and what is actually an effect of the intervention

I know that a missed period must have been an adverse event reported in the trials because I reported mine but going on my experience it's likely that it was no more common in the vaccine than control groups. You can probably check up the published data.

Well I have the depo just to get rid of mine

But ds1s gf found out she was pregnant just after having it. She was told it was very unlikely she'd get of naturally after chemo and radiotherapy so it obviously didn't affect her in any negative way

Now almost 16 weeks and all private scans and nhs 12 week scan looking good

Magnificentmug12 · 21/04/2021 20:14

OMG! Ive just realised I’ve not had a period since! It was weeks and weeks ago now! I know I’m not pregnant!

JackieWeaversZoomAc · 21/04/2021 20:15

My period was normal & on time after AZ.

I did feel as though I had jet lag for a few days though

MissRainbowBrite · 21/04/2021 20:19

All normal here, no different.

CousinKrispy · 21/04/2021 20:24

I had my jab a month ago, my period is normal.

wonkylegs · 21/04/2021 20:30

I had AZ and have had no effect on my period and I've had a couple since
I had one day of feeling shivery and crap but no other side effects .

TenThousandSpoons · 21/04/2021 20:32

Pretty normal timing wise (I’m a bit irregular anyway) but the first day was a bit “watery” compared to normal. After that fine.

BettysCardigan · 21/04/2021 20:34

No effects for me.

mammmamia · 21/04/2021 20:34

Normal here

JaninaDuszejko · 21/04/2021 20:38

All normal here, no side effects from AZ.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 21/04/2021 20:40

All normal for me

PineappleCakes · 21/04/2021 20:45

1st jab followed by period bang on time (I'm clockwork).

LaLaLandIsNoFun · 21/04/2021 20:46

I was on day 2 of my cycle when I had mine. On day 13 I had sudden bright red bleeding - that’s never happened to me before and I’m mid 40’s - maid of that what you will. I’m now on day 24 and my period should arrive at any moment.

PembrokeshireDreaming · 21/04/2021 20:51

normal
