Anyone had AZ and NOT had it affect their period?

I’m hoping all the stories on the net are confirmation bias because people want to share their experiences rather than that this is the most common outcome. So... if you had AZ and then a normal, reasonably on time period, please post!

I had mine just after my period. Should be ovulating now and think I am but hard to know as I’m usually quite perky around ovulation but being in the severe grip of anxiety is stepping on my desire to jump on DH.

Ohhhh, I’ve just had the best period I’ve had in years, assumed it was down to less stress, but now wondering if it was AZ... how long are they saying they’re different??

YoutubeZoom · 21/04/2021 21:07

Mibe is the same as ever. On time as well.

Icannever · 21/04/2021 21:43

Mine are normal

Puffthemagicdragongoestobed · 21/04/2021 21:53

Periods pretty normal here. Had jab in February.

Wellbythebloodyhell · 21/04/2021 21:56

37 had AZ in February no change to periods at all

Titsywoo · 21/04/2021 21:57

I had my first jab on 2nd March then had a period 9 days later however I haven't had one since then. I do have pretty irregular periods so not that unusual for me to have the odd 6 week cycle but it only happens once a year so not sure what it is down to.

IloveSooty424 · 21/04/2021 22:00

I had my AZ jab two weeks ago, lots of unpleasant side effects but short lived apart from my arm which still hurts a bit. My period arrived 3 days post vaccine on time and was completely normal. I didn’t notice my PMS symptoms as much due to vaccine side effects so there was an upside!

AG1981 · 21/04/2021 22:06

Mine arrived totally normally and on schedule...

AG1981 · 21/04/2021 22:07

(Was due 2 weeks post vaccine, arrived as normal)

squee123 · 21/04/2021 22:12

Totally normal here and I've had both doses

BentBastard · 21/04/2021 23:38

Me

FeelingForced · 21/04/2021 23:51

Had the vaccine two weeks ago and it's just starting, right on schedule.

blackice · 21/04/2021 23:53

Normal here

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/04/2021 23:56

Normal here. Had AZ a month ago and period arrived on time and was exactly the same as usual.

Has anyone said why this would be a thing?

I had no side effects at all, not even a sore arm.

Whitegrapewine · 22/04/2021 00:00

Has anyone said why this would be a thing?

My guess is that the people having the vaccine right now are in their late 40s and early 50s. Correlation is not causation.

When you have eliminated the impossible, Watson...

I’m 30s, had AZ vaccine just over 2 months ago, no periods. I’m usually clockwork. Definitely not pregnant. I’ve never had this except when pregnant. I’ve got the 2nd dose in a couple of weeks, intrigued to see what will happen after that. I’m not overly complaining but it’s not normal

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/04/2021 00:12

I’m 30s. Cycle is like clockwork, I’d be amazed if anything could shake it.

Notashandyta · 22/04/2021 00:15

Had mine last sat and have come on as usual 28 days later (today)

No effects whatsoever except a feeling of relief about having jab

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 22/04/2021 00:23

I had my first dose today. My Fitbit tracker says I’m due to start tomorrow but my cycle is of variable length.

Icanflyhigh · 22/04/2021 00:24

Normal here!

User657849 · 22/04/2021 10:02

I got my period precisely the day it was due.

Maybe a bit heavier? But I could be over thinking it.

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 23/04/2021 23:28

My period turned up today, as predicted

Theythinkitsalloveritisnow · 23/04/2021 23:42

Had both jabs, 10 weeks apart, due to being in shielding group. Periods totally normal.

MerryMarigold · 23/04/2021 23:46

I had AZ about 5 weeks ago. 2 normal periods since. Did my back in this week though.

RedcurrantPuff · 24/04/2021 00:43

I haven’t had a period for ages, had the jab 2 months ago. However, I am about to turn 48 so perhaps no great shakes.
