Are you logging your LFT negative results?

I posted something on the Daily Stats thread about people not logging their negative LFT results because that's what I'm hearing from my circle of acquaintance.

I'm not in the loop, really, as I have no school aged children and am not doing them through work, so wondered what anyone else was doing.

DH and I each do our own plus one DC, we have set up accounts for them as they have their own email and phone number, so just have to do a quick log in for each of us and almost all of the info is stored.

So yes, we are logging them all.

DumplingsAndStew · 31/03/2021 00:55

I've seen lots of people ask, but not a single person answer

HOW DO YOU SET UP AN ACCOUNT ON THE GOV WEBSITE TO LOG RESULTS?

ImTheWolfToday · 31/03/2021 06:34

Yes, it’s quick and easy to do, what you agree to do when you get the tests, and helps the accuracy of the stats.

There’s an option to set up an account when you log test results, then it saves details for next time so it on,y takes about a minute to log.

teablanket · 31/03/2021 06:40

Yes, every time. Workplace for DH, school for DC and the gov site for all of us. Seems bonkers to me that people don't log the results.

megletthesecond · 31/03/2021 06:41

mykitten That's what I do. We test on separate days. Usually around 8pm after a gap between eating and drinking.

6 days out of 7 someone is taking a test in this house. I figured it will pick up a household positive sooner than having gaps between test days.

Bumpinthenight · 31/03/2021 07:19

First page after declaring that you are reporting for yourself.

Are you logging your LFT negative results?
DumplingsAndStew · 31/03/2021 07:27

@Bumpinthenight

Thank you. So you can't do it if you declare you are doing it for someone else?

PuppyMonkey · 31/03/2021 07:30
@PuppyMonkey
It’s on this link www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
I use this link all the time, the option to create an account as per screenshot above has never come up. Confused

FAQs · 31/03/2021 07:35

Yes dd is but many of her friends have said they haven’t?

FAQs · 31/03/2021 07:36

@PuppyMonkey it’s on the 3rd page of your link?

Summertime21 · 31/03/2021 07:36

Yes 6 tests a week between the household all logged on gov website

Kimchidreams · 31/03/2021 07:38

Nope not logged a single one since the kids went back to school. One DC is testing regularly because they want to, always negative and the other has only done it a couple of times. I don’t push them to do it. I don’t see the point in logging since the LFTs aren’t exactly accurate. I have a lot on at the moment and don’t need this unnecessary task added to my to do list.

clarrylove · 31/03/2021 07:43

Yes we are. My kids have their own phones so they are logging it themselves on the gov site. They have created an account each. Doesn't take long. I log it with school.

starfish4 · 31/03/2021 07:48

I've actually had a problem reporting half of mine as it comes up I'm doing it at a test centre and they want the code. Other times it's fine.

Rillington · 31/03/2021 07:51

I've never had the option to make an account. I log the two children's tests twice a week.

StringyPotatoes · 31/03/2021 07:56

DH and I both log ours (except the first one where I assumed you only logged positive results).

If you do this you also get an NHS text and email so figure this acts as proof if the school or workplace ever want it (though DH has to send a photo of the test into a special workplace Whatsapp as well)

mrshoho · 31/03/2021 07:57

Yes we are logging on the NHS site for all three of us twice a week and also my school and my daughter's school have additional forms to complete.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 31/03/2021 07:57

Ive never logged them, the school told us only to report positive and void results to them.

wtfisgoingonhere21 · 31/03/2021 08:00

Yes log dc results with school
And gov twice a week and mine and dh twice a week. M
Takes minutes

BlowDryRat · 31/03/2021 08:15

I'm logging but it's a PITA. It would be a lot easier if you could add family members to your account so you didn't have to put in their name, DOB, occupation, ethnicity, contact details every time x 3.

Houseworkavoider · 31/03/2021 08:20

I forgot. Will do with the next one later though.

PuppyMonkey · 31/03/2021 08:40
@PuppyMonkey it’s on the 3rd page of your link?
I don’t see this, honest. It asks me “are you reporting for yourself or someone else?” And I’ve been putting someone else as it’s for the kids, am I doing it wrong?

DumplingsAndStew · 31/03/2021 08:45

It seems if you select that you are reporting for yourself, you get the option to create an account.

Is there a minimum age for logging it yourself?

JustDanceAddict · 31/03/2021 08:45

Yes

StealthPolarBear · 31/03/2021 08:46

Yes all of them. I also don't see the account link but maybe I should get ds to do them for himself and he may then be able to create an account?
The other thing is you pick your school, then they ask about occupation but student isn't an option so I have to pick other! That makes no sense.
