Just interested to see what people's feelings are given the latest news on AZ from Canada and Germany.

So, as the title says..

If you were offered the AZ vaccine tomorrow would you take it?

I can't have the Pfizer, and have had the 1st dose of AZ, so...yes!

Nuttagblz · 30/03/2021 20:21

Its not ‘team astra zeneca’ this is not the way to think about a medical procedure. It is a good thing that vaccines are looked at carefully, paused and evaluated for concerns, it is the mechanism for them being safe in the long run. Canada, and Norway are not in the EU and they have concerns. The US flagged inaccurate efficacy data and it was resolved. This is a good thing.

SilverGlitterBaubles · 30/03/2021 20:21

Yes

Eaumyword · 30/03/2021 20:23

Yes. Had 1st AZ jab 4wks ago. Bit poorly the next day but fine thereafter. Felt so relieved to have it.
I'm grateful to be in the vaccination programme.

CathyorClaire · 30/03/2021 20:26

Had Pfizer first dose but wouldn't have said 'no' to whichever had been in the needle.

Dm and Dh have both had AZ. Dm booked in for second shot and dh will have his when he's called without a qualm.

wendz86 · 30/03/2021 20:46

yes

MeanderingGently · 30/03/2021 20:53

I've had the AZ vaccine, I was pleased as it's the one I wanted and I haven't changed my mind. I'd still choose it over and above the others....

picknmix1984 · 30/03/2021 20:53

Obviously most would . I did a week ago.

OrangeBananaFish · 30/03/2021 20:54

Yes. I couldn't care less which vaccine I get. Just as long as I get one.

Katya213 · 30/03/2021 20:57

I wouldn't care as long as I get a vaccine.

MarshaBradyo · 30/03/2021 20:58

Yes

IllNeverLetGoJack · 30/03/2021 21:06

Yes.

For me, I think the risk of covid is still higher than the risk of serious side effects seems to be. One source said 1 in a million chance of VIPIT, another said 1 in 100 000. I think my chances of serious side effects from covid are higher than that.

Anyway, I've had one dose! The next isn't till June. Unless something major changes between now and then, I'll have the second dose.

wizzbangfizz · 30/03/2021 21:06

Without question

Littleguggi · 30/03/2021 21:06

Having my 2nd dose in a couple of days and YES!

onwAndup · 30/03/2021 21:08

Of course! The sooner the better

waitingpatientlyforspring · 30/03/2021 21:08

Had mine over a week ago and would have it again no hesitation (even though I was ill and arm was painful for a week and still tender). Happy will have my second dose in june.

DianaT1969 · 30/03/2021 21:10

Of course

ssd · 30/03/2021 21:17

Absolutely

HSHorror · 30/03/2021 21:22

Yes already have done
Would have preferred pfizer because of variants and less likely to get symptoms.
Also because it's now clear being in a group unlikely to get the booster for variants

Boringlynormal · 30/03/2021 21:29

I wonder how many of the ‘yes’ people above are under 55 (ie the people that Canada and Germany have stopped giving it to).

I am. Had my first AZ on Friday and was bloody grateful - BUT - given the option again I wouldn’t have it for now. It’s very worrying to be on day 4 after having a jab that may have serious risks for women in my age group between day 4 and 20 post jab.

Boringlynormal · 30/03/2021 21:30

I won’t have the second dose unless we have more info on the risks.

Yes I am

I’d still have it, wish I could now (late 40s)

Chickenkatsu · 30/03/2021 21:32

Pope shit in the woods?

rosie1959 · 30/03/2021 21:33

Already had one dose and 2nd booked for May havent given it a second thought

LittleRen · 30/03/2021 21:35

I will think twice, but I am 36 and so far down the list despite having asthma that I am thankful I have some time for more findings to come out.
