Just interested to see what people's feelings are given the latest news on AZ from Canada and Germany.

So, as the title says..

If you were offered the AZ vaccine tomorrow would you take it?

I would probably postpone for a couple of weeks to see if they can gain any more clarity about this.

Warmhandscoldheart · 30/03/2021 22:35

Had my first AZ and looking forward to my second in May Smile

ThereforeIAm · 30/03/2021 22:36

Yes. Had it and would again.

BlackeyedSusan · 30/03/2021 22:36

Oversize · 30/03/2021 22:38

Yep. Had mine today and listened to the news about it on the drive to the vaccination centre.

Mintjulia · 30/03/2021 22:38

I already have. Absolutely no side effects. Second one at the start of June.

Pinchoftums · 30/03/2021 22:40

Yes please! It would be my second one. Probably feel a bit shit for a few days then better again. Nowt like the hell that was covid when it knocked me last week.

Pinchoftums · 30/03/2021 22:41

Last year not week!

applecharlotte12 · 30/03/2021 22:42

Yep!

JustMeAndWheatley · 30/03/2021 22:42

Yes

Bellablahhole · 30/03/2021 22:44

Yes, without hesitation.

I had mine over 3 weeks ago and I'm extremely grateful. DH has his tomorrow - neither of us are worried/ concerned. Just looking forward to him getting some protection from this awful virus.

wonderstuff · 30/03/2021 22:45

Yes, I'd be delighted.
I really don't understand why countries are restricting it, doesn't seem to make sense in terms of risk vs benefits. Maybe I'm missing something?

Bombolone · 30/03/2021 22:48

No

EasterIssland · 30/03/2021 22:50

Lumene · 30/03/2021 22:55

Yes already had it

Smokeybacon72 · 30/03/2021 22:56

Yup had it two weeks ago, felt bit tired for day or two afterwards but no real issues.

Devlesko · 30/03/2021 22:58

No.

Midlifelady · 30/03/2021 22:59

Already had mine. I think they are being extreme - are there more incidents than in the general population? I think not. Are there more I incidents than with other vaccinations? Have yet to see any stats.

Aloethere · 30/03/2021 23:00

I would but my dh who has an autoimmune disorder that causes his blood to clot says there is no way he will.

SirVixofVixHall · 30/03/2021 23:05

I have already had my first dose.
It is strange that Germany have vaccinated far fewer people than us and yet have six times our case numbers of this rare blood problem. I wonder what their normal annual figures are for this condition in Germany so how many are excess ?
I hope that there is more clarity soon, but I fully intend to have my second dose in two months time.

augustusglupe · 30/03/2021 23:05

No

SirVixofVixHall · 30/03/2021 23:05

I would also like to see the comparative stats for the other vaccines in use, eg Pfizer.
