How long after AZ vaccine before you had side effects (if you had them)?

I had the AZ vaccine about midday yesterday and so far so good - slightly sore arm and not a lot else.

I was trying to work out though when I could safely consider myself 'in the clear' and not going to get any of the various side effects that a reasonable minority seem to get (headache, chills, fever, etc) so it would be good to find out - if you get any of those things, how long was it after the actual vaccination that they appeared? 24hrs seems to be possible, but has it been longer for anyone else and did you feel perfectly ok right up until that point?

Thanks!

I've been shocking with it! Absolutely bone tired exhausted for nearly a week with three full days in bed, aches in my joints, headache, fever and now jaw and tooth pain. But it is still worth it!

20 hours in for me now. I didn't sleep until 4 ish, had a fever and chills and my delightful 8 month of has been up since 7 and has done plenty of yelling at me for not sorting breakfast fast enough etc already this AM. Might get DH to come home from work early, this is utterly grim and he's not got a day off until Monday otherwise.

I had them from a couple of hours post vaccine and by 36 hours was so much better with just a sore arm.

18 hours and I let the paracetamol wear off...headachey (that could be my new specs though), back ache, pains in my hip joints and a sharp pain between my sternum and navel. Not very happy about any abdominal symptoms, makes me anxious about what's coming.

21 hours for my husband. He just felt achey and had a headache. Lasted for 2 and a half days and now he is back to his normal self.

24 hours after my jab and I felt perfectly normal. Arm a bit tender where the jab was if I poked it, but it's like the rest of it never happened. So odd how intense but short lived it was. Hoping I've gotten away with that and won't get anything else..!

After feeling mostly OK at the 18 hr point, I hit 24 hrs yesterday afternoon - and was wiped out by 7pm! Cracking headache, body pain, nausea, chills. Took to my bed fully clothed and was shivering under two long sleeved jumpers, a duvet and a blanket. It felt almost exactly like my first few days of covid last year.

But I've already rallied this morning, still headachey and weak but feeling much better. It doesn't last long, it's "pretend" covid!

36 hours after the AZ I've got a very slightly tender arm and nothing else.

I hope that's as bad as it gets. I'll report back if I get any symptoms later.

Had it about 1.30 just over a fortnight ago. Felt a bit shivery and tired that evening. Next day felt sick (felt a bit like morning sickness) and had no appetite and that went on for about 10 days. Sickness has stopped now but my appetite is still not back to normal. I haven't been able to face a glass of wine since.Grin
