Another anti lockdown protest in London, the police will be criticised if they arrest anyone, they cannot win. Why can't people just stay at home, haven't enough people died.

So no broken bones and no punctured lung? These injuries were just fabricated for effect?

Even more sinister, a more MPs were going to oppose the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. The reports of injured officers made them back down.

@Justanotherworkingmom

Watching the footage I strongly doubt there is a functioning brain cell in the whole crowd.
Why do you think that?
BonnieDundee · 27/03/2021 14:20

I have watched footage from Bristol last night. I saw the police being heavy handed with protestors but didnt see any violence by protestors. Yet all I've heard and seen on MSM is about violent thugs attacking police with absolutely no mention of the force the police used Shock

mumsneedwine · 27/03/2021 14:56

They there a firework at the horses and scared them. There are so many smashed windows down the street - don't think that was the police. And they tried to set another Van alight. Last time it had police inside it when they did this.
Not sure why the police are getting targeted for a law they had no hand in making. Protest with flowers as that was nice. Don't hurt police as they are humans too just doing their job.

BonnieDundee · 27/03/2021 15:19

I dont doubt that there were a minority who.were violent. But why is police violence not getting reported on?

Because we don't have a free press.

There needs to be a public protector force. Army trained special units wouldn't put up with this. The streets need to be safe for the general public. If organisers genuinely want to protest, they can leave the streets to be safe for ordinary citizens to go peacefully about their business. They can write, email, on-line petition, put notices in their windows, hang banners from their windows, but not smash mine. Nor those of the shops they fully intend to loot from, under pretext of a 'protest'

BonnieDundee · 27/03/2021 16:38

If peaceful protest is not allowed we can no longer call ourselves a democracy. If violent thugs hijack a peaceful protest, they should be dealt with.

Dustyboots · 27/03/2021 17:03

Is peaceful protest allowed now?

There’s been a few this week - outside schools etc to do with sexual harassment and blasphemy- haven’t there? They’ve been allowed to happen...

rosetylersbiggun · 27/03/2021 21:31

Yes, because police kicking girls' heads in isn't enough. We should do MORE violence towards peaceful protestors!

The streets need to be safe for the general public.
You're under far more danger from police than you are girls wanting to put some flowers on a memorial, or people waving a few banners around. Or did you not notice press and independent observers being attacked and arrested too?

Nor those of the shops they fully intend to loot from, under pretext of a 'protest'
Don't be so utterly, utterly thick.

Some people won't be happy until we're living in North Korea.

hear hear.

We've not had any protests in my town. But from Monday I'll be looking at where I can travel to peacefully protest the bill.

The police had to be taken to hospital and they suspected they had broken bones and a punctured lung (!) due to the brutality and pain they were likely in. Once in hospital - after x-rays probably- they discovered they were not indeed fractured. Do you think the police will carry mobile x-ray machines to demonstrations to ensure accuracy of reporting at the scene?

Please stop misinforming

BonnieDundee · 30/03/2021 18:19

But you don't announce broken bones and punctured lungs if they've not been diagnosed Grin
