Another anti lockdown protest in London, the police will be criticised if they arrest anyone, they cannot win. Why can't people just stay at home, haven't enough people died.

Good for them. Theres actually between 50000 and 10000000 people protesting. Because we can't go on like this, covid or no covid

It's a completely different protest in a different city. It's about the new protest Bill being brought in.

But I'm not surprised that people are kicking off about it.

I support protest in a democracy (although its questionable whether we live in one anymore) i dont support violence.

@tangerinelollipop I'm a bit lost as to what point you're trying to make. There's a bit of a difference between people protesting by walking along a road, maybe holding up a placard, and setting police vans on fire.

Or do they look somehow the same to you?

We don't need any more gaslighting, bending the truth or justifying the unjustifiable. I can see the violence and it needs to stop

On either side
Police or protesters.

No one should don a police uniform m got to work and end up getting hurt
No one should go to a peaceful protest and end up getting hurt.

So many rights being taken away, and it's scary how muct just willingly conform.
Gov can do what they want they know nobody will object, but to make sure the right to protest will be taken.

That’s my worry too That it starts with our right to protest taken away. Does this then filter down to our right to object. How about our right to appeal?. What about our right to speak up.?
